Subject: [DEV] International Cup
Or they realise it 10 years later and implement one of the points when there are 3 users left playing the game :D
they have to listen to us if we just stop paying for plus
Are there going to be friendlies on Friday after IC is over?
Wow, what an optimist you are :) 10 years. More likely 10 seasons maximum for people who have been in the game for years. Newcomers will probably join, but to stay... unlikely. At the moment, a new player is doomed to many seasons in which the chance to develop to a good level is zero. If I were entering the game now, there would be nothing to keep me in it.
Guys, I just realized something in the International Cup that blew my mind.
I'm on Level 2, Cup 1. My group is Group 2. I started looking at the other groups in my cup (there are 32 groups in total) and I noticed that in every group I looked at, there were at least a couple of really strong teams. Seriously strong teams. And I thought: damn, this second division is incredibly competitive…
As you know, there are two cups in Level 2 of the International Cup. So I decided to look at Cup 2. I kept going through the groups and didn't recognize any of the teams (except for a few Spanish ones). So I thought: I'll check the performance of the top teams in each group: and I saw that there are group leaders in Cup 2 with a performance rating of less than 60. In fact, I can barely find four teams that reach a 75% performance rating across the 32 groups (whereas in Cup 1, the top three groups alone had that many teams). In other words, the difference between Cup 1 and Cup 2 is enormous. It can't be just luck. Impossible.
Then I think: I'll look at the ranking points of the leaders of each group in Cup 1 and then in Cup 2.
I started in Cup 1, and all the leaders, absolutely all the leaders, at least up to group 12 or 14, had over 6000 ranking points. I stopped there. I had enough information.
I went to Cup 2 and did the same exercise and discovered, to my horror, that none of the leaders, NONE OF THEM, reached 6000 ranking points. In fact, there are ridiculously weak groups.
The conclusion I've reached is that DEVS used an algorithm based on ranking points, but within each division, they created subdivisions. So, those with the best rankings ALL went to Cup 1, and those with the worst rankings went to Cup 2, instead of distributing the best rankings between the two cups.
The result is Cup 1, which is at the level of a first division, and Cup 2, which is at the level of a third division.
This has no impact on level 1, and on levels three and below, since there are many trophies, it's harder to see. Because among so many trophies, it's more difficult to spot with the naked eye. But on level two, where there are only two cup, it's outrageous.
It's possible the same thing will happen at lower levels: Cup 1 being the most difficult and the last cup at the same level being easier.
But it's outrageous because the disadvantage to some teams and the advantage to others is terrible. It also distorts the competition. Many teams from Cup 2 will get promoted because the level is much lower, while teams from Cup 1, despite having fantastic squads, won't. I think it's terrible
In 3 division is the same thing. All the best teams are in the Cup III.1
Cup III.3 and Cup III.4 are easier than the IV division where I was in the past season.

Conclusion is the same as always.
They don't have a big picture of the game, don't think about effects of their actions, don't care to analyse what they are doing and don't care what people want because they think that they know better. And they think that the game should be hard and demanding, for them injuries are a good thing.
Sad but that's true

This is a general feeling of the whole community that whoever is in charge of Sokker changes - hasnt really played a lot of Sokker. :D
I understand if Sokker is training ground for some programmers, then it is ok... but if someone is into improving the game, and this is the output... well, if they are being paid for this - I would strongly advise the Sokker owners to fire them :)))
Asking some senior members about the direction, asking general Sokker community... I do not know who is the target group for Sokker owners, what type of users?
If they are into young people, newsflash - this aint gonna happen. Browser game, no app, long term planning, no pay to win... On top of that making it too hard. This game can in best case get neglectable number people under 25 with the current system.
If you are into old users, I would say you are doing your best to drive them out :)))))))
People are generally worried about injuries and form, and total inability to influence the lenght of injury or form. This hasn't been addressed, moreover new matches bring more injuries. We have almost a game daily, and as older guy - this is a bit too much. But ok, for some people it is nice, I can't say. But form and injuries are a disaster.
Changes we got in the past few years
- new junior school and new system
- faces for players
- new league system
- new international cup system
- new history/statistics
- taxes for trading
- more matches, constant changes in calendar. Honestly, I do not know when is cup, when is what....
I would say that most of changes haven't been communicated with anyone who has more than 2 years of Sokker experience :D
I seriosuly expect them to add barbershop to be able to change player's haircut, and maybe option to modify color of seats on the stadium :))))))

It is definitely necessary, sometimes I get startled by the sight of my players :)
