Subject: [DEV] International Cup
Is it going to be first from all countries (98 teams) and the remaining will be a bunch of Polish teams? Or will it be filled with league 2nd place teams from the bigger countries?
Top1 teams from 96 countries (countries with users). Than I don't know exactly, but possibly additional:
- 3 teams from Poland
- 2 teams from Italy, Romania, Brasil, Turkiye, Espana
- 1 team from next countries
Something like that.

This raises the question of whether it would make sense to provide more players with advanced training and increase the number from 10 to 12.
That is worth consideration, but if so, first to 11 spots.
I think they will also adjust income from tickets, like 80% from official match.
so 3 matches will generate like 240% money compared to currently played 2 matches.

The new games will generate more revenue and consequently fuel inflation here. If more playing time also leads to more exhaustion among players, teams will expand their squads and field more players. More players will be needed. This raises the question of whether it would make sense to provide more players with advanced training and increase the number from 10 to 12.
imho most people will not care about adding more players to fulfill needs for the new competition but instead they will be raising prices of trainees like they did when they introduced second official game during the week.
Let's hope I'm wrong.

Hi,
On which day of the week will the international cups be played?
On which day of the week will the international cups be played?
nah, the prices of top / older players also went up with the "2nd league game" inflation, possibly not exactly as much, but that would have to be compared on data
it is possible though that prices of youths will go up since some new teams can decided to start training in int cup / country cup (friendly / league to extent, hard to say though how it will work exactly

The whole weekly calendar will be re-worked, for example the national cup / friendly will be moved away from Friday, so that it will be possible to buy a fresh youth on weekend and then play him in a friendly
That would be nice. Friendly match has to be the last one before the training occurs.
Is that confirmed?

This is a great new, thank you
This is a great new, thank you
maybe swap friendly game with 2nd official game and thats it :D no need risk of injury important players 1day before training.. and also playing 2 league games with same forms in few days.. :D
What means relegation in international cup will this become polish tournament at the end? Why this is announced when you can hardly can do to reach high position seems crucial to be on high place this season...
We have created an algorithm that selects teams based on the level of the country. It works something like this:
- each country's champion will start the competition in the top league (almost the same as in the Champions League)
- then, depending on the number of users in the country, teams are evenly distributed among divisions
Thats ok, but the variety will only be there at the beginning, and very soon the elite tournament will be full of Polish whales and other big spenders. Teams that play the "normal" way—without farming and spending cycles—will have no chance of winning with 30-40 teams with an 80+ rating.
I think you should have made the format so that climbing the structure is much slower - it should take at least 10-15 seasons to reach the highest level from the lowest.
This way you will promote continuity, and not teams that pile up money and then spend it all at once.

1. Will sponsorship/fanclub members still be solely based on National League 'prestige' (ie based on the average number of fanclub members over the league).
I know matches in the International Cup with have some bearing based on expectations, but thats still just a multiplier of a 'League prestige" which currently is the National League.
2. If the League prestige/Cup prestige are both important, what is the split? 50/50?
3. Reading the news, it sounds like each season, the cup is a random draw from within your league level. Just making sure I read this right.
The seeding makes sense, and it's a more advanced seeding than I expected (its the right way to do it, I just thought for simplicity, they would be seeded by ranking points and just let time sort out rest) so kudos for doing it the proper/more interesting way. And it's good to see there is some form of movement in the form of promotion/relegation, which is very much needed with such big differences between large and small countries, then to a lesser extent, western hemisphere vs Eastern hemisphere.

Impossible, even if you create 15 levels I can guarantee you it will be possible for a team to stay afloat in the middle levels while playing with a team bought for around 1m euro, so this wouldn’t change anything
Just for those who don't want to do the maths.
By my calculations on current users, there will be 57 tournaments (if it were just human users) across 6 levels, so I would suspect that 6th (lowest) level would be a full quota of tournaments meaning there would actually be a total of 63 tournaments, with approximately 1 bot in each of the lowest level tournaments groups.
ie
Level 1 - tournaments 1 - 128 users
Level 2 - tournaments 2 - 256 users
Level 3 - tournaments 4 - 512 users
Level 4 - tournaments 8 - 1024 users
Level 5 - tournaments 16 - 2048 users
Level 6 - tournaments 32 - 4096 places (based on current numbers 3293 users and 803 bots)
This is just the way I read the news, and is not official, I could be wrong.

Based on explanation Geston provided this is accurate estimation (lower league may differ, depending on teams that became active/botted)

It is possible if you make only the top of the structure steeper. For example in the following way:
This format requires 6-7 seasons at a high level (probably 70+) to reach the elite tournament ( if you start from the base of a 60-65 team that can be maintained with a 1-2m euro budget). Farners can still reach the top tournament, but only for a shorter period at the end of their cycle. Or even more levels with only one tournament so to make it basically impossible for farmers)
