Subject: [DEV] International Cup
please don't joke, what training? you're not training youngsters when you play in Polish Ekstraklasa, the level is too high for training and buying players and training them for 4-5 weeks in season doesn't make sense especially that with 16-17yo players you won't progress in Cup, I know because I use them and get eliminated very early, first weeks
It's interesting that you only read and respond to parts of the posts that you like, but I would recommend that, even if you only want to read and answer to just parts of posts, try to read those parts with understanding, please ;)
You can play any type of training in these games, strikers with DEF values, defenders with ATT values, and you can get training for younger players, also with 16-17yo players, of course not the whole team, but there is still a advantage with 5-7 official games against weaker teams.
And you get more from tickets and again those rank points from the free wins.
what is more, because of long national cup it will be HARDER for Polish teams for obvious reason
since week 6 most countries have already finished their national cup, so when important International Cup games start, they will only have league + league + INT Cup
at the same time top Polish teams will START their important games in national cup and will have to play 1st team league + league + INT Cup + National Cup
Where did I wrote that Polish teams will have advantage with Iong seasons in NC and IC? I wrote that you get free points/training at the start in NC, and now you will collect it also from other countries at the start of the season.

How do you think small clubs to prosper if operating balance is f.e.
110k€/w with good coaches and 14/20 U21 players? This is probably what most concerns average users (rating under 60).
Then it says The first season will be played as a test in an arcade format, although promotions and relegations will still take place. Your players will not receive training, you will not risk injuries, and you will not earn ticket income. So strong squad teams from best leagues win their places in higher rank with same squad and budget they already have on disposal. You really don't see any problem here?
What income can we expect later from IC? How it is this game rated from fans (attendance)?
What stops clubs ignoring IC if it has less influence on fans, getting free place for training 10 trainees (more income), and full strenght 27+y players league, smashing lower budget competitors playing league and trying to compete in IC with less players?
It seems there is lot of possibilities to use organisational flaws. I know there is a lot of people complaining, but at least some of users (try to) understand why.

This is the law of least effort. All the complaints are aimed at making smaller teams play in the top division. I think it's great that the 128 best teams in the game are in the same competition. The CC was much more of a lottery, thanks to the draw.
In this situation question would be, why u have 14 U21 players, when only 10 are getting advanced training ;)
Other thing I can relate, but this time I trust in devs, that they thought about it already :)

I have 4 crap players from YS as substitution for friendly games. :)
I know most of people complaining only as they timed reconstruction of squad badly, now in short notice.
But lot of clubs can operate better as they get more from attendance/sponsorship money. Now when they can get even more as they are playing good rating teams or good fan base clubs can be this gap will be even bigger and take even more time from new users to get competing anywhere now national cup is somehow irrelevant.
Can be it cristalizes itself in 3-4 season time, and I am for changes, know it always have pros and cons. But now (as always) there is less information to convince users not to complain, especially when test season is in arcade mode, give opportunity for clubs with stable budget to play full strenght, and promotion stays at end in their favor. For me it doesn't seems right. Especially if we know how even rules are explained lately. We didn't know for sure if BMI is implemented or not! :)

I am not here 24/7, so I will prepare my answers later.
Please do not expect my answers to explain or solve all the problems you point out.
I realize that some inconveniences will occur. Not everything will be perfect for everyone.
However, we focus on the big picture first.

if you have a 28yo-30yo ATT, do you really decide to play him in two league games and also in national cup with different order to give him defender training at that age? because for me that doesn't make sense and I have no compassion for people who do that and then complain about injuries.
as for "playing some 16-17", the point of training 16-17 players is to make profit, what profit will you make on training 3 or 4 16yo players for 4 weeks? that's barely the time to be able to sell them with 8% tax + 42% tax on profit.
you think you get 7 games in Poland against "weak" opponents in the cup? Let's look at Cup winner's opponents round by round
R1 - 52.2
R2 - 51.5
R3 - 58.5
R4 - 54.4
R5 - 49.6
R6 - 71.5
R7 - 81.3
R8 - 75.5
R9 - 75.3
R10 - 82.8
5 "easy" round with lucky draws. 3-4 if you are unlucky. You don't play 20-30 rating teams every week, they get eliminated in first round (worst 50% goes out).
You had ratings 20, 56, 63, 63 in first 4 rounds. You can get opponents with very similar ratings in Poland, depends on the draw.
And you get more from tickets and again those rank points from the free wins.
actually no, when you play those bad teams you get very bad ticket money and you usually lose rank points because your fans expect you to win 15:0 every game because of rank difference. to show you an example, Poland won against Suomi and Portugal in last 2 weeks (27., 31. in rank) and lost ranking points after both games.
and rank points are pointless anyway, they are not needed for anything except cup seeding.
Where did I wrote that Polish teams will have advantage with Iong seasons in NC and IC? I wrote that you get free points/training at the start in NC, and now you will collect it also from other countries at the start of the season
why would you think that...?
INT Cup will be played among teams on same level, why do you claim that Poland will get "free points/training" in INT cup...?
it will have a much higher and equal level than Champions Cup had, there will be many teams playing for 78-80+ ratings
I would be surprised if it wasn't needed to play for at least ~74 to stay in the Division 1... so good luck with "free point and training" in those games...

And what is the essential point? Could you please clarify that?

I came back to this topic after a few days only to see the same names trying to pursuade other users that their opinion (this competition is good/bad) is the right one, and this has been going on for 25pages
It is nice to have a discussion, but this is hardly what discussion is because meaningful messages get lost in waves of "my dad is stronger than your dad" kind of argumentation.
I would seriously like to see these individuals either open a separete topic where they could measure who can send more messages per day, or some other kind of ego/private parts/my father is stronger than your father competition - and to leave this topic for people to express their opinion. Just a developer with serious extra time would go for reading all the "great" arguments written for any side here, and highly unlikely it would make him change his mind.
Having read all that was written in past 25 pages, my opinion remains unchanged.
CC was optimal tier 1 competition, and IC could be tier 2/3/4 competition so that everybody gets international fun.
go Polarne Mede :D

I wonder how can that be logical for you, when Tier 2 would be always stronger than Tier 1 :P
I wonder how can that be logical for you, when Tier 2 would be always stronger than Tier 1 :P
If Tier 1 would always be seeded exactly like Champions Cup (96 league winners) then there will be many teams playing for 40-60 rating
Just some examples of teams that will play in CC next season (country winners)
Morocco - 50.8
Algeria - 44.2
Andorra - 51.6
Saudi Arabia - 40.9
Belarus - 48.4
Wales - 57.9
Korea - 40.6
etc. - such teams fill up ~half of Champions Cup and those teams would play group stage vs 1 team of Romania, 1 team of Italy, 1 team of Poland, 1 team of Bulgaria etc.

Is this only S1: champions are playing tier 1, or stays this way after first qualification saison?
Only first season, then it's promotion/relegation so all top teams will end up in Tier 1.
Im responding to idea of Neuro ("CC was optimal tier 1 competition, and IC could be tier 2/3/4 competition so that everybody gets international fun.").
