Subject: [DEV] International Cup
After S1 only 25% of teams will be relegated to T2, so there will still be around 25% of weak national champions left in T1 in S2.
T2 will still be much stronger than T1 even in S2.
S3 maybe we will see T1 in true strength but if there is more than 50% weak national champions in S1, some of them will be left in T1 in S3..
So, hopefully S4 will have top teams competing in T1

And for those calculating influence on rankings etc every team will play only 6 matches.
In W7 only 64 teams i.e. 50% of teams will play.
In W8 32 i.e. 25%
in W9 16 teams
In W10 8 teams
In W11 4 teams and
In W12 only 2 teams will play
in each indvidual cup.
Furthermore, after initial 6 matches, those 50% who will keep playing will lose exactly ONE match which is not a lot of lost rankings/supporters/money? etc.
Can anyone with CC experience write in here how big of the loss it is?

We all seem to forget that everyone will be placed in a group of 4 teams i.e. with another 3 teams with similar strength long term.
Out of those 50% not playing in cup mode after week 6 there will be 2 teams with losing record, but it's mathematically impossible that both teams will lose all 6 matches, so there will be some wins some ties etc. so not everyone will lose rankings/supporters/money etc.
Yet 25% will end in third place after 6 matches and stay in the same level for the next season.

(I am sure there will be many groups with close results, but this scenario is looking at worst possible cases. )

Will there be a reward for the winner of the cup?
This must be a reward of at least 1 million euro, otherwise there will be a lot of trainees and corner tactics in this cup.
So not competitive.
You see this in the national cup also.

There was talk about cutting attendance to 80 procent maybe for all official matches, so 1 M is unlikely for 1 game.
I have a question, who is a target group to play Sokker?
If the goal is to be one more log-in-each-day, you have a match-collect coins etc, well it is far worst compared to those games.
Probably main Sokker advantage is tactics editor and 2/3D games but you can't really get into it because you have games almost every day and likely will use last tactics not tailored one to opponents.
At the same time injuries are as it was with 2-3-4 times MORE matches then it was and marked as not important even if it bothers everyone either you compete hard or train players.
And if goal is to play with international teams then there should be a limit to teams from same country regardless if strength because it can become league between top couple countries in top tiers.
A lot of people against, one more opportunity to get injury (once it passes arcade phase), not sure about cards.. Thank you not my cup of tea.

The seeding algorithm could easily change, but the idea of rewarding the league and cup winners each season with a top-tier CC spot seemed already fine to me
Agree.
This sounds like belittling ROW Champions success and making meaningless winning their respective leagues/national cups. It's my personal opinion, but for me it wouldn't be much of reward after winning my league, I can win 5th tier cup trophy, playing against 7th club from Hrvatska 2nd league in final. Maybe I am wrong and users from small nations really don't want to participate in Champions Cup! :/

-1 so how that works every season you put 40 50 ratings on top of the piramid yes gives motiva
Yeah, exactly, that's why I wrote that making such doomsday scenarios that a country will lose all games and fanclub doesn't make any sense... the impact will be very limited and the idea of a country losing regularly isn't probable since the level of opponents will be equal, especially after 1-2 seasons
the main issue is that your eco system depends on motivation to your division mates and country mates to play that cup....
even if few teams preform well and steal rating you never should be linked on other teams performance..
and in long run fans will migrate to bigger countries ..
its not doomsday days scenario is a fact and will happen top tire competition will be harder to smaller countries

International cup rules:
1). The entire structure will be divided into multiple levels to ensure there is space for every team. Within a single level, there may be several parallel tournaments, depending on the tier.
2). At the top tier there will be one tournament,
3). At the second tier two parallel tournaments,
4). At the third tier four parallel tournaments,, and so on.
5). Each tournament will include 128 teams from different countries,
6). Those teams will be split into 32 groups of 4.
7). The group stage will use a home-and-away format, guaranteeing each team 6 exciting matches during the first six weeks of the season.
8). After the group stage, the knockout phase begins.
8.a). The top two teams {rank 1 and rank 2) from each group (64 teams total) will advance.
8.b). The next six rounds, without return legs, will determine who will ultimately lift the cup.
8.c). The excitement does not end there, because within the competition you will fight not only for victory. You must avoid relegation or secure promotion to a higher tier of international play.
9). Reaching the eighth round as one of the final sixteen teams guarantees promotion.
10). Finishing last in the group results in relegation.
11). Exceptions to these rules may occur if :
11.a). teams lose their owners during the competition and become bot-controlled. Such teams will be relegated first, giving active teams a chance to avoid demotion despite poor results.
12). The first season will be played as a test in an arcade format, although promotions and relegations will still take place.
12.a). Your players will not receive training, you will not risk injuries, and you will not earn ticket income.
13). After this test season, International Cup fixtures will become fully official matches with all their pros and cons.
==============================================================================================
so;
based on rule #9 , 16 teams will get promotion from each division and all rank 4 team from each group of a tier will be relegated.
based on rule #2, #3, #4, with total sokker manager right now is 7229, international cup will have:
tier 1 --> 1 division. = 128 teams
tier 2 --> 2 division. = 2 x 128 teams = 256 teams.
tier 3 --> 4 division. = 4 x 128 teams = 512 teams.
tier 4 --> 8 division. = 8 x 128 teams = 1024 teams.
tier 5 --> 16 divison. = 16 x 128 teams = 2048 teams.
tier 6 --> 32 division.= 32 x 128 teams = 4096 teams.
==========================================
total --> 7229 teams + 835 bot teams
==========================================
based on rules #9, #10, #11,
team finish on rank 3 and 4 on the group will only do 6 match for one season. and based on this, the supporter mood should not have very big impact.
