Now is easy too, you have to change the chip and the way to do it

The topic is the same, training and preserving players, as well as building a strong team.
For small nations, it is a duty to train players for the national team, because everyone has the right and opportunity to train 10 players, and for one player aged 16, 17, 18, 19 ......29 there are 13 from one age group. With 20 trainees, there are 200 players in 13 age groups. Every long injury ruins a player, not to mention two, at that point you already write them off and start a new one. If you tell me how one can make money training for the national team and maintain a rating, I will acknowledge you.

it is a duty to train players for the national team

Not duty. It's your choice. You can decide training players to NT or training to obtain high incomes.

And... you win, you have a lot, you buy. If everyone plays by this principle, what will happen to the game...? If everyone trains players for money and sells them at 21, will there even be anyone left to buy and train them further? At some point, the trained players will run out – then what?

At some point, the trained players will run out – then what?

They will only run out if everybody will decide to close their youth school.
That's the entire thing about this game.
Everybody can play on his or her terms and decide which aspect is important for them.
For you, it might be training players for your NT / U21, for others it might be training players for profit to build a strong team.
But surely not everyone is fixed on the same priorities, that much is proven by the endless discussions about what's fair and what's not.
But basically, if a manager decides to focus on a certain aspect of the game, he will get the profit out of it for or by his team.
Because, before stating that it's better to play in larger countries, financially, without playing in a large country is the same as saying that playing for small countries is more profidable financially while playing in large countries.
But in the end, you're both wrong! Because playing for finances requires a certain approach to the game, and it's not playing in favor of your NT. It says it right there... Training FOR the NT, it's not training FOR your team...
If you decide to train for your own team, then you'll see your finances rise by the season! But it requires a specific approach and they are both different for small and larger countries.
For a small country, you need to limit your salary expenses, but that's easier because you do not require to have 10 players with a total amount of 400k salary like you need in big countries. So in fact, having players worth a salary total of around 250k for your entire squad is enough to both play for prices in your country AND to train players to sell, so you see, that is in fact the difference in expenses. People are always stating the income for larger countries, like sponsors, is bigger and it's unfair, but they always conveniently leave out the expenses, which are clearly a lot more profidable for small countries.

Expenses and possibility to train young players / make money at high levels in small/smaller countries. It’s much more important than lower salaries.

Last season I had a total „non transfer” income of 5m euro. I made a clear profit of double that amount on just one trained player and you can train 10.

It’s great that you’re having the discussion about approaches to the game, but isn’t it in the wrong thread? This thread is about the International Cup.

50% of my team comes from the academy and has been trained by me, 90% of them have gone through at least the U21 level. I know how to play, since mainly training my own players and at least until the age of 27, I have never gone bankrupt and I am in the top division...
The big burden is not the players' salaries :) but the coaches', and you need to know that. You can't train national players without an outstanding head coach, 3 magical assistants, and magic in the academy = 500k + salaries....
The difference in ticket revenue is huge; in the big nations, there is more because of cup matches. Last year I messed up and got eliminated in the first round, and the season automatically went into a revenue deficit. So, this talk about the advantages of small nations is for someone who has just joined the game....
I don't mind the changes, but shortening the seasons without adjusting injuries and academies caused harm. Not to mention that higher revenues also drove the market crazy. There is simply a need for other changes as well....

There is discussion about what the changes will lead to. If no measures are taken :)
2026-01-01 16:55:03
That’s very interesting because I train top players and I don’t have 3 magical assistants :P

And again, all of that is your choice in the game, not what you have to do
2026-01-01 17:30:27
He has already emphasized that it is his duty to train national players. So from his perspective, he has no choice. Discussion is futile.
2026-01-01 17:38:39
You describe a situation that will never happen and I don't really know what it has to do with what we were writing about.

Play how you want, it's your choice.
2026-01-01 17:45:50
The rules of the game don't require players to train for the national team. If you want to do that's your choice.
2026-01-01 18:42:07
You're trying to convince the wrong person :o)
2026-01-01 19:04:08
I'm not trying. I wrote to you how it works :)

5 coaches equals 500k in your opinion? If I had 5 unearthly coaches I pay around 300k. If I have 10 top class players I pay 600k. They all cost 60k weekly. You know that players wages are what really weigh on your weekly Cost. Don't try to twist it with wrong data. The fact you think coach wages are the biggest means that you're not playing with top players. Because you don't need them to be able to play on high tiers in your country.
