Subject: [DEV] International Cup
First of all - economy of sokker is not like the one in real world.
Economy in big country like Poland is based exatly on same mechnics like in any other country.
There were two camps:
- first - no promotion/relegation system - just league places determines which team plays in which cup. Champions of small countries could play in top cup, but was that pleasure for team playing rank 35-40 to compete with teams playing 75+? 6 lost games 0:10, or 0:20? Don't think so. Also it would be a free training in official match for strong teams competing with week ones. That was also not fair giving such training posibilities to stron teams only.
- second - promotion/relegation system - that makes competition more equal. That doesn't give unfair training bonus for strong teams competing with week ones. There are cons, like teams from small countries with small chancecs of winning top tier cup, but wait... earlier they did not have such chances neither.
And as borkos said - Poland has so many users that it will happend that in one group we will have more that one team from one country.

I think all people with common sense agree with you
Would Champions League with 10clubs from Premier league be of higher quality than 4+ club from Serbia, Norway, Croatia and similar. Yes, it would be
Would it be more fun and excitimg than current format of CL, no.
Actually old Champions Cup + Cup Winners Cup + UEFA format in Real life was the bomb!
But due to sponsorships and money it moved to current CL format with the richest clubs wanting the Superleague to be introduced.
We have no sponsorship, we just want it to be fun.
I can't see the fun for me as a country champion playing division 2 with two Polish 2nd league clubs.
It is absurd

Could you explan a bit about the fun aspect for a national champion (me) playing in the group against two 2nd league polish clubs?
I can tell you that from perspective of a person that won all trophies possible on Sokker Team level - this is ridiculous. Even in real life, national champion of Faroe Islands has a go at playing at elite rank of CL - because they are what - exactly, champions.
Following your logic, you'd dump them in Tier4 and let them play there.
This will totally motivate small nations... not
Feel free to write - Polish users complained they never get to play international cup (and they are right to do so) as being Ekstraklasa Champ or winning Polish cup is mission impossible - so we decided to give them all a go with the new experiment.
In my opinion they deserve international fun, but not at the cost of all remaining users, which is now the case.
Keep CC as top tier for teams that won something
have IC as 2nd tier (think UEFA league)
now waiting for my favorite advocate to repeat for 10th time that there are many polish teams so this is fair...

Economy of sokker mean promoted teams take more money from sponsors tham teams take the double right my friend?Sponsors pay me 257 825 € per week and that money takes a team from third division of Polland

Now when we have IC, they could give SAME money to all 1st leagues, 2nd, 3rd... etc. Motivate small countries a little bit! ;)
Thanks for your reply. On one hand, I understand the idea of creating a competition with promotions and relegations, where everyone can play. I think it’s very nice and motivating, even for the last team from the smallest nation, to compete against teams from other countries.
On the other hand, I agree with Neuro. It doesn’t seem fair that teams who win their national league or cup are also forced into these promotion and relegation dynamics, because it’s really difficult to stay competitive on multiple levels at the same time.
For this reason, I would have continued to give winning teams the chance to compete against each other, like in the old Champions League.
But maybe there would have been too many competitions? Or maybe it would be better to find a hybrid between the two systems?
One possible solution, even if I know it has already been discussed a lot, would have been to keep the old Champions League in its official format, and have the new IC Cup in arcade mode. This way, everyone could compete against everyone else and give their best, without worrying about injuries, training, and so on.
Last season, the IC in arcade mode was very fun for many users.
Anyway, the decisions have now been made, so we’ll see what happens. In any case, thank you for the effort you put into improving this game that we have all loved for so many years.

Yes, top-tier tournament can be separated from the rest of the structure and reserved only for trophy winners, but think about what would happen then.
The second division would be much more prestigious and profitable because it would include all strong teams from the big/medium countries, except for the trophy winners. At the same time, the top tier will be full of 50-60-rating punchbags from small countries and matches against them are going to generate way lower revenue than matches in the second tier.
To me, it is absurd to have the second level be stronger than the first, which will inevitably happen if what you are proposing was accepted.

If theyd just moved the IC and the national cup to different parts of the season, they could have largely put an end to sacrificing league results for training, but nope. Now we get 6 weeks of 4 official games a week and then back to Training Vs Competition ruining the league.
Just need to keep cl ...only fair solution is 5 level structures for all countries ....
I like IC. I like the idea and how it works now. And I'm looking forward how it evolves.
If I won the championship in my country, does that make any difference in terms of the IC?
The regular Champions League no longer exists?
If not, then what is the advantage of me winning the championship in my country?
