DIDIz to All
I've been thinking and thinking about what to do with the youth team for a long time. I barely get players, and the normal ones I get are not talented at all, and I've already started to despair and leave players at low levels in relation to their age, and I want to deal with it and get some advice here from someone who can share his strategy ♥

Up to what level do you leave a player at each age?
For me, it's about if he's 16yo, minimum level 5
If he's 17, minimum level 6?
18, minimum level 9 or 10?
19 minimum level 11-12?

Of course, if I see that a player is insanely talented, then I'll compromise on the final level if necessary...

I would love to hear some opinions from veteran players here. What is your strategy/conditions for each player?

thank you

The last time I pulled a good player was 4 seasons ago and he stay in my club for training (and my meaning for a good player its 1M EURO market value -+ )

If I didn't have a commitment to the national team, I would have stopped investing in the youth school a long time ago because it doesn't seem worthwhile for me
In any case, I'm with a magical coach and at most stages of the season I leave 6 spots open for Saturday.

For each general level youth academy players have total skills range.

Example if player coming weak (4) from academy their total skills must to be around 12-14. Its could be fine for 16 yo I think.

Minimum for 17yo good(7), for 18 yo solid(8) and for 19 yo very good(9) or higher could be enough to graduate from academy.

It's kind of like how I operate, but all these players are either fired immediately or sold for pennies

I would have 0 juniors in my YS if I applied your criteria. My criteria is a bit simpler:

I leave 100% of 16yo players and start sacking them as soon as I get accurate information about talent and are bad talents. I only had 1 16yo entry this season btw :(
For 17yo players, I leave at least level 5 and always check for talent. Bad talent = sack
I normally sack all 18yo and 19yo who come into school as new juniors. The ones that I leave are the ones who once were 16yo and 17yo and that have confirmed good talent.

I am not being able to apply my simple criteria lately as I have been getting REALLY BAD juniors in the past season and this season, both in quality and quantity.

My strategy is not start level, it is potential exit level:

16y - all at season start or 6+ later
17y - level 8 at start of season
18y - level 10 first half of season
19y - I wouldn't consider under 12 level
If player should come out as 20y - sack without thinking!

This is my current list:

18 formidable [11] outfield 4
(Lvl 12)

18 very good [9] outfield 4
(Lvl 11)

18 brilliant [14] outfield 5
(Lvl15)

18 formidable [11] outfield 6
(Lvl 12)

18 outstanding [12] GK 11
(Lvl 15)

18 very good [9] outfield 12
(Lvl 12)

16 adequate [6] outfield 12
(Lvl 9)

17 solid [8] outfield 13
(Lvl 11)

16 good [7] outfield 24
(Lvl 13)

I have few more only for junior league matches, but try only best potentials play!

Sometimes I let player in YS for few weeks only to rule out coach estimation mistake.

Ok good to know , stamina included ?
And is there a table or document that details the total sum skills of features that come out of each level?

Regarding 16-year-olds, if they arrive for a short time, it's hard to tell if they're talented. But I understand that you leave 16-year-olds who arrive for a long time in any situation to test their talent. After a few games in the youth, do you really start to understand if they're talented or not?

I also don't leave almost any new 18-19 year olds who arrive because if it's for a short time - they won't turn out good enough for their age, and if it's for a long time, they'll likely be pulled out at age 20-21 and then they really need to be at a super high level and super talented to be useful.

And yet, I compromise quite a bit on the requirements I wrote, and yet despite everything I don't see success in recent seasons.

Is there a connection to the fact that at the beginning of my journey in sokker I received 2 very good players? Or is it completely random?

nice bro thanks
Even with your method, it seems that the chance of getting a good player who meets all the requirements is very rare. Is it possible that I missed something and sokker changed how the youth operates? In terms of the number of players you get, their first level, etc.?
2026-04-14 15:55:12
all included
2026-04-14 15:57:34
this is mine :

Noam Fadlon 19 formidable [11] outfield 3
Meshulam Korenfine 18 very good [9] outfield 3
Eitan Vandrman 18 excellent [10] outfield 4
Roi Zwili 17 solid [8] outfield 9
Meshulam Sharon 16 poor [3] outfield 10
Tamir Sagir 17 good [7] outfield 11
Ilan Soher 16 average [5] outfield 11
Yarden Refuaa 16 weak [4] outfield 15
Barak Hadida 17 solid [8] outfield 19
Ran Luzon 17 average [5] outfield 20
Yona Amsalem 17 excellent [10] outfield 21
Tomer Cohen 16 weak [4] outfield 26
David Luski 17 weak [4] outfield 28
Eli Catz 17 adequate [6] GK 30
Eliraz Meiri 16 weak [4] outfield 30

Only Yona Amsalem looks good and he is also currently underrated because he has been promoted 5 times in 11 weeks (the last promotion was this week) and this will probably balance out negatively because there is no such thing as a 2-2 point talent.
Apart from him I don't see a player who can stay for training or be sold for a lot of money

Eitan Vandrman - talent 5
Barak Hadida - to pops in 11 weeks

Even though I get players who are supposedly at a good level and at a young age, 95% of the time their talent is trash.

After a few games in the youth, do you really start to understand if they're talented or not?

If I am not able to determine the talent, the criteria for me is to leave de 16yo junior and then either sell as fresh or train to test talent. I would never sack a 16yo player if talent is unknown. I track ups and downs to try to estimate talent, just as SK Tables, SA or GM tools do
2026-04-14 16:31:04
How many youth games are enough to get a valued talent? Of course not exact, but valued - close to what it really is

Assuming I have a Magical coach of course

I would never sack a 16yo player if talent is unknown
-------------
even if he came as 0-2 starting level?

I think 4 can start giving you a grasp of talent.

even if he came as 0-2 starting level?

Even like that. The only exception where I would consider sacking those would be if my academy is full of other better options, but the chances of that occurring are minimal.
2026-04-14 16:52:47
even if he came as 0-2 starting level?

coach mistake can even be 3-4 levels

so 0-2 level can in fact be 4-6 level

I also never sack fresh 16yos and wait until the low level / bad talent is confirmed

makes much more sense to invest time/money into a 16yo with high potential value than into a 19yo who at best will have a low value

and it's easy to do since most youths have no market value, don't remember when I last had a situation that I had to decide who to sack because I had too many good potentials.
usually I keep 12-14 just to have 11 for the youth league.
currently 13/30 with 2 coming out in 1-2 weeks.

Marian Ługowicz 17 average [5] outfield 1
Konrad Jaskot 18 very good [9] outfield 2
Gromosław Pyż 19 very good [9] GK 9
Walenty Osicki 17 good [7] outfield 9
Mariusz Siarzewski 17 solid [8] outfield 9
Daniel Bylok 16 poor [3] outfield 9
Lesław Gawor 16 adequate [6] outfield 11
Jarostryj Idaszak 17 adequate [6] outfield 16
Jan Tajner 17 average [5] outfield 20
Witold Grulski 17 adequate [6] outfield 20
Jan Sebastian Krauze 17 adequate [6] outfield 23
Zdzisław Guzek 16 adequate [6] outfield 23
Robert Miazga 16 weak [4] outfield 23

Idaszak, Tajner are "confirmed useless" with bad talent / end level, but I keep them just for the purpose of always having 11.

thx guys!

Daniel Bylok 16 poor [3] outfield 9 - when you got him and do u know talent of him?

so 0-2 level can in fact be 4-6 level
------
wow i didnt know it
so you say when i get 16yo even if he is 0-2 , i should wait to see his talent . but i guess if i get it only for long time right?
if you get it for maximum 7-8 weeks , you still keep him if he is 0-2?
