1. how does the ranking for national team is calculated?

y = mx + n
y -> points that a team will gain(or lose if it is negative) after a match.
x -> Ranking difference
m -> Constant: -0.02876
n -> The constant which cames after the result of a match. For example:

1-0 -> n=29.29
2-1 -> n=24.16
3-2 -> n=19.54
4-3 -> n=16.79
5-4 -> n=14.93
2-0 -> n=37.59
3-1 -> n=36.09
4-2 -> n=32.02
3-0 -> n=42.14
4-1 -> n=42.14
6-3 -> n=36.93
5-0 -> n=46.61
8-0 -> n=48.95

2. does a player that played twice (league+friendly) and then plays for the NT gets any training bunos?

If he plays twice in a week, he will take full training, and if he plays in NT match, he will take extra training bonus. However, the amount of the extra training is not indicated.

thanks

Not problem. ;)

Edit: Spelling. :))

I think the extra training that a player will get is 33%.
2006-10-08 22:24:17
Yes, you are right; but only if the player plays at just NT match.
2006-10-08 22:25:32
Really? I tought it was, for example, 90% from league match + 33% from Nt match...

but, as I have had only 3 times an NT player, I really don't know it :P
2006-10-08 22:26:04
so the difference in the match score has an important meaning...
2006-10-08 22:27:31
Yes sure.
2006-10-08 22:29:09
Yes, but it is not indicated in rules. Maybe you are right. But who knows? Maybe greg. ;)

is there a more detailed table for the goal diff. thing?
2006-10-08 22:43:26
It is just an example. I don't know a more detailed table. :|
2006-10-08 22:45:47
oh
so u don't know what is the difference between losing 0-1, 0-5 or 0-10?
2006-10-08 22:48:40
I know it. If you lose 1-0, then you will lose 10 points (just an example), and if you lose 10-0, you will lose 100 points.

The more goal you have the more points you lose.

I thought that maybe Israel Technical lose against Nippon cause them to lose some extra points and that is why the rank is like that so I continue and checked all the new NT that join this season and lost in all of thier matchs.

the result show that the system works other way then you said:

ranked 43- Bolivia Goal diff 1-37 1262
ranked 44- Malaysia 1-79 1249
ranked 45- Israel 1-45 1234
ranked 47- Helles 2-67 1222
ranked 49-Hong Kong 1-85 1196
ranked 50- India 3-57 1180

As we can see India got much better goal diff then Hong Kong and Helles but yes lower then both of them on the rank and Israel is stll ranked higher then 3 other teams so the losing some extra points due the technical lose is not vaild anymore:)

opponents ranking is also important. You will get much more points when you beat 5th team in ranking than 55th team

Sorry Guy, I deleted your message by a mistake. Here it is: Again sorry.

Chaglar my friend ,

I think you are wrong.

Israel and Malaysia start their NT at first this season

Israel lost in all of ther matches with a goal difference of :1-45 (including friendlies) (5-0,1-7,0-3,0-2,0-2.0-7,0-1,0-7,0-11)
Malaysia lost all her matchs too with a goal difference of :1-79 (0-14,0-14,1-7,0-7,0-10,0-10,0-11,0-6)

therefor Israel should be ranked and have more rank points then Malaysia.

But in the world ranking Malaysia is one spot higher then Israel with 1249.41 points against 1234.99

You also mantion that losing of 10-0 decrise 100 points from you rank points, if so the Malaysia NT that lost 5 times more then 10-0 (see above) was suppose to be with less then 1100 points (all new nations start with 1600 points) and as you can see , she have more then 1200 :)
