Sorry Guy, I deleted your message by a mistake. Here it is: Again sorry.
Chaglar my friend ,
I think you are wrong.
Israel and Malaysia start their NT at first this season
Israel lost in all of ther matches with a goal difference of :1-45 (including friendlies) (5-0,1-7,0-3,0-2,0-2.0-7,0-1,0-7,0-11)
Malaysia lost all her matchs too with a goal difference of :1-79 (0-14,0-14,1-7,0-7,0-10,0-10,0-11,0-6)
therefor Israel should be ranked and have more rank points then Malaysia.
But in the world ranking Malaysia is one spot higher then Israel with 1249.41 points against 1234.99
You also mantion that losing of 10-0 decrise 100 points from you rank points, if so the Malaysia NT that lost 5 times more then 10-0 (see above) was suppose to be with less then 1100 points (all new nations start with 1600 points) and as you can see , she have more then 1200 :)

You forgot ranking difference. See my first message. ;)
Israe NT played with Polska (1st ranked.), Suomi(16th ranked), Slovenija(30th ranked), Uruguay(52th ranked), Nippon (Same ranked) Schweiz (51st ranked at friendly), Ireland(39th ranked at friendly)
Malaysia NT played with Nederland (7th ranked), Argentina (15th ranked) Slovensko (25th ranked), Australia(33th ranked), Suomi (16th ranked at friendly), Srbija i Crna Gora(46th ranked at friendly)
So, If you consider those rankes you will find out the correct result.

As I said above, it was just an example to show him the importance of goal difference. I didn't mean about loosing 100 points. :)) Just an example. :))
The main equation is here:
y = mx + n
y -> points that a team will gain(or lose if it is negative) after a match.
x -> Ranking difference
m -> Constant: -0.02876
n -> The constant which cames after the result of a match.

Sorry my friend
I guess that because of the late hour i didn't pay attantion to the rank diff :)

You are right. Player gets 33% only when he plays just the NT match.
two questions
1. how does the ranking for national team is calculated?
2. does a player that played twice (league+friendly) and then plays for the NT gets any training bunos?
Could we get some "official" clarification on this subject? or at least a Rules clarification.

n -> The constant which cames after the result of a match. For example:
1-0 -> n=29.29
2-1 -> n=24.16
3-2 -> n=19.54
4-3 -> n=16.79
5-4 -> n=14.93
2-0 -> n=37.59
3-1 -> n=36.09
4-2 -> n=32.02
3-0 -> n=42.14
4-1 -> n=42.14
6-3 -> n=36.93
5-0 -> n=46.61
8-0 -> n=48.95
Where does that "n" come from?
1-0 -> n=29.29
2-1 -> n=24.16
3-2 -> n=19.54
4-3 -> n=16.79
5-4 -> n=14.93
2-0 -> n=37.59
3-1 -> n=36.09
4-2 -> n=32.02
3-0 -> n=42.14
4-1 -> n=42.14
6-3 -> n=36.93
5-0 -> n=46.61
8-0 -> n=48.95
Where does that "n" come from?
I think he´s asking about the different values of n....
well, in that case its answered right in his post... its the constant
n=f(result) ...so I would say n is a function described (partly) by the table written in this topic, not the constant value
@Deja :
Partizan - Hajduk was a derby match in ex-Yu 20 years ago ...and now is a derby match in Canadian Premier League ...the world is so small :))
Edit: I forgot, sorry for offtopic
