Subject: Match Engine Change

From Polish discussion - info from greg:

Dribbling GK by a striker will depend equally on his striker and playmaking skill
(instead of technique as was previously said)
Info post
Translation of greg:
So depending on playmaking and shooting equally (from the next test matches). Why not... it doesn't have big meaning. It was stupid that GK was always taking the ball from striker's feet if striker didn't decide to shoot nor to pass

In italian forum we suggested (proposal) to consider this skill concerned with the number of the matches played

also in real life, the tactical sense or sense of positioning is not a default ability but it would increase by playing more and more matches

one intersting question still ins't answered: Which skill is used for headers??
the passing-skill??

What do you think?
2006-11-01 16:29:54
playmaking (about thinking what to do) and passing (about realizing the thought) i suppose :)

Let me see today's matches and then then I'll say my opinion.

Yes, but apparently that's not what they are considering. You are pointing out to a sort of "experience", which could be fine (all players will be "born" without experience and will develop it with the games).

I was watching this match:

Australia Friendly

What did the Tigers' forward in the 17th minute? That's the "auto-pass"?

i'm a bit astonished about this new feature

i agree with playmaking influence, but don't agree with striker influence

a forward dribbling a keeper would need

-Fast and good thought on what to do (Playmaking)

-Technique abilities for trying to not lose the ball with the keeper throwing itself against forward's feet (Technique)

Yes, I saw this, It looked good. But I didn't see if he did it with the head, or with his foot.

Striking - because of shooting in suitable moment (like between GK's knees or on one of the side). I disagree with making technique even more important.

It should actually be playmaking+technique+pace+shooting, but it's ok just as it is :]

Pure playmaking would be also fine, but we didn't convinve greg to this point :]

sure...once the forward passed the keeper... :)

in RL...should be

PLAYMAKING (to decide in the best way what to do)

In relation with high or low playmaking skill the player should choose his best ability

so...

- if the best ability is STRIKER he will choose to shoot on goal (in this case relation Keeper-Striker to decide the goal) with lob, with tunnel, or else

- if the best ability is TECHNIQUE he will choose to dribble past the keeper and then shoot on gol (with normal shot). The relation in this case would be Keeper-Technique

The higher is playmaking skill the better thing the forward will choose to do according to their skills

yes - I couldn't agree more :]

You may add
- if the best ability is PACE, he would try to run around GK, to get a clear shot

:)

Without TECH strikers run slower with the ball.
