Subject: Match Engine Change
I don't want to appear as reacting too defensively either :p
I like all changes (including the keeper-dribbling), and I am only concerned with two things:
1) The implementation of the positioning issue
2) The concrete implementation of the keeper-dribbling.
The rest of the adjustments are OK, and I not only like them, but also was waiting for some of them (such as the heading stuff... I was really tired of seen how, sometimes, my player would get to a long, high ball first, but just to "put it down" for the slower opponent player that would arrive later and take the ball with no resistance :P:P:P).

4min past in the game plz change it back every body is standing wrong, i play in a line whit my defenders, but now its a weir triangle! :s
Think of striker-goalkeeper duels this way:
It's not that one wants to dribble another - it's the situation in which strikers seeks the proper moment to shoot.
So ... which skill should be responsible for the proper moment of shot ? Yes - playmaking.
And which one if it will be effective or not ? Yes - shooting.
There you have an answer :]]

that's something that someone guessed
that was me guessing, but I just wanted to ask if it is true then it's not so good idea because of the situation I wrote few posts above (16m area - in that case defending should be important too)

I love all the changes but positioning should be a function of tactics. It's the skill of the human user.
Of course I did not read the previous 90 something posts.

- It will now be possible to dribble past the goalkeeper (success depends on player scoring and playmaking and oponents' keeper skill)
- More clever shots when one on one with the keeper (for example, placing the ball using less power).
As a keeper trainer I really hope this 2 are properly balanced not to nerf goalkeepers even more.

how about keepers ability to save a one-on-one with a striker situation also being influenced by the keeper's pm?
that would make sense with both trying to second guess the other :P

While you at it, you could make keepers need technique to keep the ball and some defence to actually take it! :o)
*Please note the above two posts contain high levels of sarcasm, do note try this at home!*

Ah yes, nice :)
But I guess that dribbling the keeper itself requires technique, righ? OR will that only need shooting?

Just watched my game.
- my defenders weren't lined up. It looks like their positions depend on oponent's strikers' position. Some kind of average distance between striker and pre-given position
- there was much more heading. Some players let the ball bounces of the ground and then headed it.
- players with high playmaking defentely played better then before. I could clearly see it.
- my keeper droped ball two times. He's good in keeping
I like it, all in all : ))

my feeling about this(all),
now big midfield's teams have more chance to win.
Because when the Gkeeper try to "shoot" the ball.....it come back more quickly than before===> little midfield's teams will defend all the time against big midfield's teams===> we know this game...Hattrick. :(
I think that positionning must stay MY tactical's choices......
When we'll play in league, we're going to scored like in Rugby....longshots is good...but without GK jumping....it's just funny and not serious.
I'm not agree with this Engine..........
sorry for my poor english

Nice, I totally agree.

Good changes :
1) I saw the "self-headind" passes :)
2) I saw 2 duels (both won by my keeper ^^)
3) My players were really badly placed.
At some moment it was like if I had 6 defenders (I play 4-3-3).
I really liked the changes (for the moment :p) but I hope my players won't be placed that bad in league match (it has been nearly 2 seasons I play with the same tactic)

Why? if your keeper has a decent passing ability he will "shoot" the goal kick to your players regardless where they are.

Just because GK jumping and throwing is not yet implemented in the match viewer doesn't mean that it is not in the match engine. Check your match reports.
