Who am I?
mr_gibbage of team Mcoi.
What have I done with my club?
Currently the most successful team in England, with 5 premiership titles (including the last 4 consecutively) and 3 FA cup victories.
What have I done at NT level?
I was the first NT manager for England, where I led England to the semi finals of the world cup, recording my only competitve loss against Italy, narrowly 3-2. Along the way, the England side managed by me defeated the USA twice, once in the group stage and again at the quarter final stage.
I have also trained countless NT players, including Ricardo Bogan of the USA who gained 8 caps whilst a member of my team, so I know how to deal with players of NT calibre.
Why USA?
I feel that over the past few seasons, the USA has been underperforming, considering the quality of the players in the side. In addition, with no language barrier, I feel the USA wouldn't cause any problems on that front.
Why not England?
I feel that 3 seasons in charge of the full England NT is enough for me, I would only ever run in England again if there were U20/U21 teams officially in SK.
What about tactics?
I tend to always play to the strength of my team and factor in the opponent before deciding which tactic to use. I have primarily used 3 different tactics in the past season, each of which suit different teams in different ways depending on what their strengths are.
In addition, sometimes choosing the right players is as good as making a spot on tactic. Sometimes the best players can not all be fitted into the team and are under utilised in tactics where their role does not make use of their skills.
Why haven't you posted in the USA forum that much?
I blame guacamole. I do keep an eye on things, but generally have not posted too often.
