There is a hard cap, juniors can reach max divine+.999999

So the best possible junior with the best possible talent trained by the best possible trainers can only reach level 17.99999.

The best possible junior to start with is a good 34. And let's say he pops in the first week of training, so then he's solid 33. To get to divine+.9999 he can get about 9.75 more pops. So his best possible talent would be 33/9.75=3.38

So I think the best possible talent for juniors is somewhere around that. Maybe a little more depending on whether a junior can come in the junior school with max good.01, good.5 or good.99

I don't think this is a bug. Assume that the people on the forums who commonly speak of 3/4/5 week talent as experienced managers. So even though it seems typical, really these players are not the norm...

Statistically there must also be some spread of the talent between youth players, some bell-curve or some such and if that is the case then 3.38-4 weeks talent should be pretty rare. Instead we hear quite often about such talents. This either makes quite a few people liars, or it means that there is something that skews the talent spread to a lightly more favourable position.

i agree there has to be some bellcurve of a sort. 3-4-5 weeks or much more common then 20+.

one other thing is that people rarely post youth traineer skill when posting talent.

has anyone had a 20weeks youth with magical+ trainer? or a 3-4 week talent with a solid trainer?

Well, one of my friends has a YP comming up with a 5wk talent - and a good YTC!

I've got a 10½ wk talent with an incredible coach - he came into my school as "Good 34" so I've decided to keep him nevertheless.

Well, "Good 34" with an Incredible coach will surely yield a great player, but this is a good exception.

I would be interested to see people answer hjerbech question about a fantastic talent with a bad coach...

I've heard that there was a player, who popped every 4 weeks with a good youthcoach.

the player it's not from my youth school ;)... i BOUGHT it!!!! i want to see what is his talent... after how many weeks will he pop up in technique...

I'm the one with that worst player, I finished my ban for publishing him.

A few clarifications for the sake of my good name :-)

1. I apologize to all for posting what is not allowed.
2. However I had no idea it's not allowed...I actually put him on sale in order to let people see what I got after 31 weeks :-)
3. I posted the player and his story to show all the community something interesting, maybe a bug. And I thought of course no one will be interested cause I let everybody know he's so so so bad...
4. I'm sorry it actually worked as an "ad" since my friend here paid an euro to experiment with him. So even I didn't knew the law, my punishment was right :-)

i will train him in friendlies... he's too weak for my second team but i want to do the experiment... if he's more "talented" than in the youth school i will keep him... if not... i will train technique one season... so i will be satisfied if he will pop twice ;))

BTW my youth coach is excellent

u dont see a lot of people with such terrible youths because a lot of people reject them if they haven't popped in 7 or 8 weeks.
also people r much quiker 2 point out that they have a magical youth whos talent is 4 weeks than a hopeless youth who hasn't popped in 30 weeks

they miss all the fun :-)
I follow what I have learned in sokkerhelp.org: if the player has a potential to finish solid and up I keep him...after all the talent is not seen while in the transfer list ;-)
At some point I became curious for how long he will stay good.
