Sure! He will defenitely be in the neighbourhood of the best of his age....
2011-03-24 18:16:16
I think the low pace of your player puts him down to somewhere in the top 10...
Here is my best 20y old, doubt he will make it to nt though.

train passing and he should make it :)
2011-03-24 19:23:47
Harsh
If I'd train passing from now on instead of pace he would make it to u21 100%.
That 20y old guy gets a "keep training him, he is a future star" or so message when I update him in the NT DB btw.

But, do you think this guy is having a better chance?

That's why I said according to best of forum! ;) I know that all the players aren't updated there, not even nearly all. But he is nice whatsoever! ;)

Well... with that pace and age he will not be in the top for much time ;)

Sometimes I don't just get you guys with this pace crap. It doesn't matter at which order you train your players, the end result is the same. And by saying "with that pace and age".. for crying out loud the guy is 20 still for 14 weeks! If I'd train pace for the rest of the season he'd probably reach incredible at it when considering the extra trainings and his great talent, plus would get a bump in tech and pm which are close to pop. He wouldn't drop too far in the list. But I've got other players to train too so I'll train his pace only to formidable this season.

What about this guy then? With that pace and age he shouldn't be in the top of the list long or..?

Johan Tykkyläinen, age: 22
club: Karsten Dream Team, country: Suomi,
value: 1 110 500 €, wage: 10 975 €,

formidable stamina poor keeper
outstanding+3 pace outstanding defender
brilliant technique incredible+1 playmaker
brilliant+1 passing adequate striker

Is number 2 in the best of forum, pace one training away from incredible. And the no.1 (Ferry Hese) at least used to be a guy with mainly loads of pm and passing. I have some older trainees who are near superdivine pace so I have to train other mid-skills at least a season before I can start pace properly, but I'm sure that these guys are high on the lists after the pace training starts too! ;)

Besides, I've seen some players that have been trained mainly in pace when young. Firstly that has ruined their chances to play in U21 (= no extra training fron NT + extra fun for the manager), and many of them haven't even become anything special. So, my point is: don't pay too much attention on pace, at least when the players are young! If Eetu was 23 I'd agree with you, now I just have to say that you'll see! ;)

Okay, but the point is: if there is similiar player to yours according to mid points (and you can trust me-there is) with higher pace, it will be really easier to gain points on best of forum and get on the top of the base, because:

-pace is counted as 1 point, when passing and pm -1,5
-pace training is slower, so if we have players with the same amount of mid points, it will be much easier for mine to take a lead. For example it will take your player 4 weeks to pop on incredible pace, when mine can pop to incredible passing after 3 weeks.
