I can't understand Your logic in a post above. Players from big nations are usually slightly cheaper actually and even the buyer wasn't from Italy.
2014-08-01 14:07:35
Yeah but some of them have more 'nacionalist' managers who don't care to pay anything. This player went too expensive because a italian manager give an all-in of this player and fatih had more money. But it should not happen. The italian manager only wanted the player because he looks great but italian, if he wasn't italian and he doesn't have this amount the player would went for 9-10M for sure

because a italian manager give an all-in of this player and fatih had more money

so, You are basically saying that this Italian manager is another potential buyer who is ready to pay even more if Fatih is going to sell him and give him few weeks to collect some extra cash. Also, You are indicating that price could easily be even higher then 12.5M just if that Italian guy had more on his account. And how can You still claim he was overpayed knowing that he could easily make profit with 1 season (or even less) of training?

Of course, we can both agree that market trending in sokker is total nonsense sometimes but there is clear difference between nonsense and overpaying.

quite sure Mlekuz can be at same SUM in three weeks (or at -1 in worst case scenario).

i highly doubt it...mlekuz has 44 points, this one 47...1 pop per week seems quite impossible to me

Anybody wanna guess a market price of the player above?

47 points, week 4..hmm, probably around 12M

why not? assuming he get three tech training, +2 there is quite a sure thing. Also, he never pop in pace and def and already have some generals so I can see a decent chance for random pop (or maybe even two if really lucky with sublevels) there. Also, one training of each pace, def and tech would give nice chance of 3 pops too theoretically speaking.

47 points, week 4..hmm, probably around 12M

exactly 15M actually ;)

Wow so many posts here that could be summed into 2 sentences :-)
The price of such players is not related to the market value of other slighty worse players, but you overpay for their exclusivity. There are simply no other players like that. Demand> supply.
As I remember Miaso's owner was offered crazy amount of 50 M EUR (when he was 5x18) and even more crazily it was turned down!
5x17 (or even 16) player who ultimately give you similar ratings and performance for your team cost you fraction of that, but again you pay for exclusivity not real comparable market value.

The player I posted earlier, Vanari has 39 sum and could have 41 on Thursday, possibly only 3 less than Mlekuz but cost me 2.85 M EUR. So you pay 12+ M EUR extra for 3 skills at 18. It's crazy, but that's the price for exclusivity.
Funny thing if Mlekuz gets injured for couple of weeks he might loose 10M EUR worth immediately..

True. I've also bought one exclusive player 2 seasons back. Cost me 10 mill, but he could have stayed unique.

Now he's missed 5 trainings because of injuries and the money is all down the drain :)
2014-08-01 19:39:07
yes, you`re right...the price went that up because of the fact that he may be one of the best 18 yo mids, not considering his skills....some seasons ago, i`ve bought a 40 or 41 points in week 4, with around 4,5M...that italian can have, let`s say, 45 points at that time, so for 4 points he paid 8M more..

@Jaqen H`ghar

it`s no way you`re going to pay that money if you want to make profit with him...you buy him only if you desperatly want him, or for his nationality..i`ve also overpaid several times because of the nationality of the players, but that doesn`t mean they actually worth that much considering just the skills...

let me give you an example...i`ve bought this scottish fellow for 11M almost a season ago:

Gordon Johnstone , age 23
value: 4 481 000 lei
wage: 53 000 lei
outstanding [12] form
height: 174 cm, weight: 74.7 kg,
BMI: 24.68

solid [8] stamina tragic [0] keeper
incredible [13] pace excellent [10] defender
magical [15] technique brilliant [14] playmaker
magical [15] passing weak [4] striker

he was 12 pace and pm, the rest of the skills the same...i know i overpaid for him, around 3M maybe, but i really wanted him...it`s the same case as with mleko or whatever is his name

You are still not getting the point, Johnstone and Mlekus can't be put in the same category. Johnstone is never going to be a leader (not even close as there are even 22 yo better then him), Mlekus is on that way. And that is what make his price not comparable with much cheaper just few skill worse players. If You want to have best of, You have to pay for it and there are always people willing to pay for players like those raising their market value into sky. Of course, few injuries are a great potential risk, which explains why Miaso spend most of his career hugging the corner flag.

how do you know how many more GT does he have, or trainings?
as a mater of fact, he`s very high at playmaker and defending, 2 trainings at playmaker and 1 at defending, and he should pop there...also, Gt on passing and technique..i think he is at least in top 10 for his age..

this wasn`t the main reason why he had those skills...even from the beginning, he had ridiculously high skills, far better than mlekus, and i`m prety sure a few will appear during this season with the same skills at least...
2014-08-01 21:35:29
2 trainings at playmaker and 1 at defending?

and even with this pops in next three weeks he would still trail behind some 22 yo. And Mlekus is better then those 22 yo were with 18 & 1 week. and even if he has top 10 potential (despite I'm quite sure he'll always be few skills behind those guys), it's still far from top 3 or top spot.

and I'm quite sure there won't be any (and even if some pull of this kind appear that price would be quite similar). You're fairly underestimating ceiling for a player like Mlekus assuming he has top talent (and he should have taking into consideration his skill sum/number of weeks in school when he was pulled).

enlighten me, how are you so sure he`s not in top 10? in 3 weeks he could have 69 points...show me top 10 of 23 yo mids please...and also top 10 18 yo mids, to proove you`re right about the italian and the scottish...
2014-08-01 21:55:46
enlighten me, how are you so sure he`s not in top 10?

probably because I check TL now and then, You can see better mids then Johnstone in TA/TL at almost a weekly basis. On the other hand, I can't remember seeing more then 5 players comparable to Mlekus over last 6 or 7 seasons.

search deeper, i`m sure there quite a few better than him...
