And would you train him defender (let's say up to vg / excellent) or leave it that low? I am asking because I am facing such situation ;-)

Depends on what your other trainees need, but i'd definately consider boosting DEF for such a player. Tackles on defenders, less cards,.. Formidable should be adequate.

Off course, if you're going for an all offensive winger, getting him to (super)divine in TECH, PACE,.. is quite essential and should probably be your priority.

Thank you! Well, nearly all my players would benefit of defender training. The only flaw is that I cannot train it for a long time as I have some young players with high def levels (18yo excellent, 19yo formidable), so I guess I can manage very good / formidable for my player.

If you're going to keep those 21yo players, then I'd do some def training right now, the sooner possible the better. But if you're going to sell him/them, I would leave def as it is, leave it to the next coach, he'll decide whether or when to train it.
Because the 18-19yo players would probably benefit more with a different type of training.

And getting that def to average/very good would last like a season, so for those 18-19s, then you would just train some speed and they'd become more of great defs not mids, at least at the age of 21.

That's my point of view though.

The last ones need def more then first one, because they can be monstrous center mids (i guess Molov could be 5x16 and maybe even 1-2 skills divine)...... so i would train wing skills 2-3 seasons more, sell Skolak (would give highest price on him), then mixed def mid training..... so if you want to keep Skolak for a longer then 2-3 seasons, then i´d put def in whenever it fits the bill.....

Well, I would be quite happy to keep Skolak until 27/28 - you know he is a Czech star ;-) In such a case I would probably need to insert def training as soon as possible (as Skolak will train slower and slower related to the speed of training of the youngsters).

The question is whether Skolak still will be a star afterI bring him to very good defender ;-) Economically it will definitely be better to train him in wing skills (4x17 at 24/25?) and then sell him.
