there is no such thing as randoms, it is pop by gt, to call it random, is so misguiding.... only the drops are random
speaking of GTs:
Wanderlei Honorato, age: 19
club: TOLEDO, country: Brasil
value: 1 401 000 R$
wage: 14 600 R$
very good [9] form
formidable [11] tactical discipline
height: 177 cm, weight: 76 kg, BMI: 24.26
weak [4] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
outstanding [12] pace formidable [11] defender
formidable [11] technique solid [8] playmaker
excellent [10] passing poor [3] striker
hope next week improve pace...

drops are also not random.
The only rendomness in sokker is the player age, level, weeks and talent when joining your school, the rest is math ;)

drops have random in the calculations yes..... tell me else why a player can do this. 14 weeks drop from 14 to 13 pace, 13 to 12 the week after, then 10 weeks to 11 pace after....... the higher the age, the bigger chance, but is random draw
I also had once a 16-16 def, from age 30 to 35 without a drop......

+1
total agree - I had also a lot of times the same experiences
I could only add - with big caution - that players tend to popdown more frequently, if they play no matches.

Thats not random.
If they dont play they get zero training and therefore drop quicker.

The amount of training they get is allways measurable and the algorithm for it applies to all players (depending on coaches, talent, amount of minutes the player played and what kind of match it was).
The amount they drop is totally random.
After age of 29 (or 30 - I don´t know) the second figure (amount they drop) becomes larger than the first (training amount through gt or ind.tr.).
To understand it better, think with kommas.
e.g.
skill: 15,175
training amount of this week in this skill: + 0,005
amount of random drop: - 0,100 (or - 0,030 or - 0,700)
new skill on Sunday: 15,080 (or 15,150 or 14,480)

What about form? :O

Of course, so all your arguements basically are exactly what I was talking about.
It is not random! Maybe you guys have a different meaning about random, maybe needs clarification by looking up the definition rather than discussing :)
The amount of degeneration is not linear, which does not make it random in my world of logics.
It only makes it less accurate to calculate or predict a drop (unlike to general training), but you can be sure once you had a drop the next drop on the same skill will take quite some time and dont need to fear having a drop on the next week (unlike form)
/edit
Yes Jose, sorry I did not consider form in my random list ;)

Are you sure about this?
If it is not random, then what is the following image?
I have more images like this and perhaps you were lucky not to have similar experience, to see how totally random it can be.

you are wrong my friend, there is a random dice in dropping.... one is the example he showed you, next is my 36 yo not dropping from 14 pace, first 10 weeks, then two drops in two weeks, then 10 weeks to next drop...... explain that with any math that doesnt have a random dice involved anywhere in equation, and i send you 100 euro, taxfree mothaf
Not to mention you still havent commented 16-16 pace-def from 30 to 35 no drops
