Hello, next season i want to organize a tournament for teams which didn't qualify to the "big" World Cup.

I think it will be more interesting than playing boring friendlies ;)

It will be 2nd edition of that Cup. The first was played almost 4 seasons ago and the winner was Romania (link to the 1st edition)

New NT season
Senior World Cup – Qualifications

The rules which will exactly say how many teams will qualify from each group to the 1/8 finals will be done when I will know how many teams want to participate in this tournament. (so after the results of new elections, because new coaches should make this decisions).
There will be four-teams-groups (some could be three-teams if we can't make all with 4 teams). So the qualifying could be for example:
- best two teams from each group and 3 best teams from 3rd positions or
- best team from each group and 7 best teams from 2nd positions.
All depend on that how many groups we will have

I must tell you that there will be no problem when you will want to play in both Mini World Cup and U-21 World Cup. I talked about this with Hellsangel (U-21WC organizer) and 4 best teams will qualify to the u-21 World Cup without playing in u-21 WC Qualifications.

Maybe it would be more simple to create a complete forum instead that a simple topic lost in sokker int.

forum will be created when my friendly league will ended but now i think it is more important to inform all people that something like this will take place.

This is a good idea, my NT will most definitely take part in the tournament.
We will have a discusion on our forum and you will get a final answer very soon.

I've got a question...!! If a team gets eliminated before Semifinals will it be able to participate on the U21 WC???

It will have to play qualifications :)

i don't get something, is this the U21 world cup or is another cup?

It's another cup for all the teams that didnt qualify for the proper world cup.
Ireland will be in it assuming i'm still manager.

Sweden is in IF i´m still in charge...

well i think is good idea ,but the previous guy who was NT manager he participated in small cup with 6-7 teams and couple managers start playing matches that are not in the cup,ok they can loose the game but it is harder to find a friendly then

Any thoughts about the schedule now? The first match was to be 7 July but elections are only ending 8 July.

After this weekends friendly, should I go ahead and book the friendly I've already arranged for 7 July?

I'm hoping to still be NT coach and enter South Africa for the tournament.

Same "problem" for Sweden, we have planned a friendly with Slovakia and need this to be sorted out asap since we have decided to join.
