Do players have a tendency to pop quicker when they are young or is it just based on talent regardless of age? For example, if a player comes out as 16y, will he pop in say, pace in 2 weeks instead of his talent of maybe 4 weeks, just because he is quite young?

no, talent is still the most important factor even though young players improve faster

Try to train a 30yo player and then tell us... :P

Does playing both the games in a week count as a full week training or just one of the games. For example, if a player pops in 4 weeks but only plays 3 official games and 4 friendlies, how to look at his talent particularly when he has played for different duration in every game?

it depends on the minutes played per week...

if he plays the whole official game, 95% of training, while only 80% for the friendly game
