The juniors you get don't come according to your youth coach, but at random, as you said.
It's their growth that is influenced by the coach... And that influence is indeed in the update on thursday... So that is the time you need your coach to be brilliant [ or higher]

Cause the level in youth school is only an estimated guess of your junior coach. First when they are pulled exact sum is known.

Salary depends on skills and on form on week 0. (edited: wrong statement of me - form is not relevant)
GK-skill is more valuable than the other skills.
