I remember it has been answered here before, but I don't remember the answer. I'm quite sure that "winning by at most 1 goal" mean that your substitutions will take place if the game is drawing or you are losing. But I'm not completely sure.

you are correct

the phrase "winning by at most 1 goal" is a poor translation of maths into English

It should say

"unless more than 1 goal ahead"

Ah, now that's a logical explanation I can understand. Now am I willing to bet my cup game on your word? ;-)

there have been long discussions about this on bugs in the past - go look if you doubt me

Ok, thanks for the quick answer! :-)

What is the ideal percentage break up of seats, benches and terraces to have in the stadium?
Where is the ideal position for the above, along the line or behind the goal??
2009-01-28 21:45:32
peronsal opinion is going to occur here :)

id say, at this stage, only seats along line. no benches or anything behind the goals (gives max income and according to rules, if terraces, benches etc arent available fans opt for seats instead) and in terms of numbers, multiply your fanclub by 15.

might be worth a top club making a suggestion though

I'd agree with that up to a point. The higher the stadium, the less demand for seats. So when you get to around 7000 it's then worth building behind the goals. Personally I'd also add a roof early on behind the goals.
2009-01-28 22:45:49
to reask the question i asked you when you suggested that before.. you have to break down roof at massive cost to expand the staium in future then though, dont you?
2009-01-28 22:46:29
No
At least i'm fairly sure you dont.

dang you dont have a roof to test on either

rules say this also

However, a spectator is likely to buy a ticket for a stand with a higher cost, if their preferred seat is sold out.

so i guess im wrong in my original interpretation...

small few benches behind goals and the rest seats along the side it is then :)

indenorte Deportivo Cali FC
Attack Tactics Line Up
46% Possession 54%
75% Play in the half 25%
2 Shots 30

What does the "Play in the half" mean?

Oh and I just notice that in the actual dialog it says that:

The teams leave the pitch at the end of the half. The fans applaud great play from both sides.
The statistics of play in the half: indenorte 69%, Deportivo Cali FC 31%.
indenorte - Deportivo Cali FC 0:3

The teams leave the pitch at the end of the half. The fans applaud great play from both sides.
The statistics of play in the half: indenorte 82%, Deportivo Cali FC 18%.
indenorte - Deportivo Cali FC 0:7

The "Play in the half" are lower than the ones posted in the statics.

The statistics of play in the half: indenorte 69%, Deportivo Cali FC 31%.

this means that in that half, 69% of the time the ball was in indenorte's half. FOR THE FIRST HALF ONLY

meaning that deportivo cali were attacking a lot more.

75% Play in the half 25%

is for the entire match. you will notice its the average of what it was in each individual half
( 69% +82%) / 2 = 75%

pretty straight forward really
