no, it has nothing to do with skills, it depends only on situation and random, and the situation depends on tactics of course.

situation means: distance and angle to the goal, closeness of the opponents defenders, and maybe some more parameters.

You could be right. Random random, I had that word you know. It sucks. :p

But from my own experience I can tell you that strikers with more technique and playmaker won't shoot to the goal from that far. It isn't always like that, but most of the time it is..

Does it has anything to do with position of striker set in the tactic, like if I try to set a striker always near the goal, even if he receives ball from far away, he will still go nearer before shooting ?

Interesting...it would be a logical explanation i suppose?

well if you set tattics with your strikers far from the goal he will never go too much close to the goal to shoot

imho you should set strikers near the goal but also playmaking is important

Hi. I need some help with the match orders. In the last game I played I wanted to sub the strikers after 70mins if I was losing by 2 goals. So I set the order time to 70 and losing by at least 2 goals however the substitutions did not happen. Does anyone know why please? Thanks.

you were only losing by 1 goal in min. 70

and that kind of order is checked only once, not anytime after min. 70.

How can we control the form of a player? It looks a very random variable to me.

try varying the position a player plays in.. (mid instead of defender, centre back instead of wing back etc..)

sometimes only transfers can raise the form...i had a guy never above weak.. in 5 seasons. then sold.. checked him recently and he was unearthly.. playing exact same position as i played him

Is experience do anything with shooting? I got a 31yo striker with solid striker, solid pace and hopeless tech. He often score with a long shoot from the mid. Then I tried I 17yo striker with good pace, weak tech and very good striker. His long shot hardly become goals. I also used a 30yo very-good striker, he shoots a lot but hardly a goal :(. Even my tragic-strike midfielder sometimes score some incredible goal from long shot.

Can anyone explain? Is a excellent striker better?

for striking form is very important. and it's a lot random, too. I would go for mor tech and pace instead striker to generate more chances.

Midfielder goals are usually not good shots, but bad passes against slow keepers ;)
