Do you think coach has sub-skill?
I mean total skill could be the same but one could better than the other?
2009-05-28 17:32:59
yes. which is what i just said. iv seen 22 identical coaches posted, and one had brilliant general appraisal, the other magical..

i think unearthly is top skill no matter what though.. if it says unearthly, its probably max possible ;)

So what kind of coach should I pay for?
For example: in transfer list I see 2 excellent coach
1 has total of 78 skills, and waged at 7k euro, this one I must bid 10k to get him
2 has total of 76 skills, waged at 6k euro, this one I must bid 80k to get him

So it means I need to use the 2nd one in 70 weeks to get back what I paid for him, ignoring inflation and interest rate (or "profit rate"). And since I will get a formidable coach and get rid of excellent before 70 weeks, then I should bid the 2nd one, right?

What about the situation with the 3rd one, who is excellent, total of 79 skills, waged 6.5k, bidding for 50k? Should I get the 1st or the 3rd one?

get the cheapest!

They will be slightly different sublevels of excellent but it is all a bit trivial - you'd never notice the difference

agreed.. i wouldnt go with anything that you wont make back in 1 season.. im consantly changing my coaches for the last 5 seasons.. only now do i finally have a worthwhile headcoach for longterm..and 2x outstanding assistants (60k each with 15k wages) and 1x formidable (12k wage)

still need to get an unearthly YC when i can afford one!
you will find you will be sacking assistants every so often ;)
its not worth wasting big money for the sake of a 1k wage difference.. :)
3x excellent assistants is great for second season mate!

Thanks so much for your advice, kenyard. I just have 2 very good and 1 excellent assistants now, but I've been able to make a bit of profit from "buy low sell high" players, so then I think I could have 3 excellent by the end of the season
Anyway, I heard somewhere that assistants have greater effect on specific training than general training, is that correct? Sounds odd to me
And what do you think would be better for my team next season, hiring incredible young coach or buying formidable assistants?

Youth coach definately.

how do i know if a player is banned for the NT?
2009-05-29 12:17:17
count his cards
2009-05-29 12:33:43
On the players page you can see how many cards a player has in the U21. If a red card is shown he won't be able to play.

What is the minimum level of junior coach that I should have in order to open YS? Someone say outstanding but is it too high?
And after the age update in Friday off-season, all old juniors currently in YS will see their age increase by 1, while all new juniors come to YS will be at 16, right?
2009-05-30 11:22:22
I started with excellent or less - if you get some good youths appearing upgrade to a bit better

yes, all youths age. The new youths come in at 16-18

:S
the only place i can see it is the NTDB, or if i count the cards up as is suggested :)

EDIT: ah yeah when i click on the players individually its there :)
grand.. NTDB shows it anyway..but i was just wondering ;)
