what should be wrong with that? he had a skilldown, was very near to 7 pm after the skilldown, and got the skillUp because of general training.

random down due to not playing and a random increase due to playing
OR
random down due to not being trained in that skill and then in the weeks after, being trained in that skill (increases the amount of training recieved) so he increased again
id say option 2 is more likely, because iv not had any 30 year old's increase in skills for me.. although better assistants may be the issue there ;)

"random down due to not playing"
don't think that a skilldown is caused by not playing. the player won't get general training, but that's all.
"because iv not had any 30 year old's increase in skills for me"
I had it a few times. but what he posted is not more than very high subskill after the skilldown.

agreed that he had high subskill after the skill down ;)
but why did it increase again after 2 weeks...? my guess it either that he began playing that player again (option A) or that he began training that skill as main trained skill (option B)
EDIT: and yeah, even if he wasnt playing he could have had a general decrease at that age... which would lead to further possibilities that it was option B :)

very high subskill (if not trained). but if he is is somewhere around 6.99 it can go fast...
Well, as far as I understood this player received the same training during these weeks.
And the general thought is that a player receives the same amount of training at a certain age when all variables stay the same.
So it's strange that his skill first dropped and a few weeks later raised again ceteris paribus.
I could have explained an up the training after his skill dropped, but I can't explain this one ...

but if he decreased after playing a match (=general training) then that means the speed of down pop in general skill is > general training of the skill... which means that he either didnt play the time he decreased, or option B as i said ;)
or that there are other factors to take into account in general training ;)

maybe he didnt play 3 weeks ago and decreased by X
then he played and increased by X/2 both the weeks after that...

He had pacetraining the whole season and played always in my A-team for 90 minutes with exactly the same headtrainer and assistants...
There has to be another influence than ...

he always played this season... The last 5 weeks full match in A-team and no minute in B-team....
Activity als has nothing to do with it seen the percentages.

skilldowns can vary much. maybe he had 6.95, who knows?
According to me random variety in skildowns is the only possible explanation...
Then the question is if it's only for skilldowns or for skillups aswell! ;-)
great example so :)
EDIT may this be noted in the aged players catagory :P
u reckon its random? or form, or something else is a factor? im guessing there has to be some factor in it... the same as form going down in players...

form was high when he went down and lower when he went up, so it's a random factor I think.
