If a player played today wednesday at 10 am as a defender, and I bought it at 12 pm and played at 6 pm as keeper, does he get keeper training?
He gets what he played last...
So keeper it is...

Defender X Midfielder (Skills x Price)
when I see that such players are going over 10M euro, only because they are called midfielders
xxx, age: 18
Stamina: unsatisfactory (2), Keeper: poor (3)
Pace: excellent (10), Defender: excellent (10)
Technique: solid (8), Playmaker: excellent (10)
Passing: very good (9), Striker: good (7)
and I can hardly find any buyer for 7M for my def
xxx, age: 18
unsatisfactory stamina unsatisfactory keeper
outstanding+3 pace outstanding+1 defender
excellent technique poor playmaker
excellent passing unsatisfactory striker
I realize that his def and pace training was much harder than train him in playmaking from poor to excellent. But Im probably the only who realize it, when I want to sell him for fair price, I must train his playmaking to at least very good, but I think I will ruin him by this
if I did train him only in playmaking, he would look
excellent-excellent
excellent-formidable
excellent
now, and his price would be probably +-12M euro.
Im only asking, is the difference so high to be 5M euro (more than half of his actual price)?

midfielders sell higher, generally because they have higher talent also ;)
plus as a defender, your guy is weak in playmaking, lowering his price :)
but yeah, midfielders really are the way to go if you can do so in my opinion.. its mainly the premier clubs in ireland who train them though, because, as you pointed out, trainees are expensive.. which i think in turn, drives up the cost of the resale price ;)
there is a shortage of trainees for mid trainers, whereas defender trainers can just buy low passing, tech and PM trainees if they cant find a guy thats right, and the defender will turn out ok without those skills...

what number of weeks represents a "decent towards pretty good" pop in pace for 18-19-20y players?
I'm interested in higher than excellent levels 10 -> 11 -> 12 -> 13
I'm asking because I have a player which had 3.75 talent in YS (indeed with ET junior coach), but he didn't pop in pace after 4 weeks (from excellent to formidable) at 18y old (with assistants lvl 15-14-14).

It happens. I have a guy (19yo) who popped to incredible striker in 3 weeks. However it took him 5 weeks to pop to brilliant striker.
Blame decimals and, if you let him play in friendlies, this part of the rules :)
A player who played in one friendly only, will have only slightly less effective training than the one from the first team line-up.

How long does it takes to activate the plus, other times only takes one day but now I'm waiting for 2 days and nothing happens, I remember one time that I wait 3 days but that too much.
I think it depends on two things; how you pay, and when greg feels like turning it on!
My last very recent plus renewal took just a few hours to come back and i paid by debit card.

I think thats the only thing it depends on..
I opened a topic last week i think about it on the bug and ideas forum , dont think it changed something..

I think you might be right to be honest, because last time i renewed using the same method of payment it took 2/3 days!
All the time I use my credit card, the bank already charge me the payment
