I've got a question. what time do you expect are going to be played promotion matches tomorrow? someone knows it for Spain?

I just want to know wheter it is possible or not - because if it isn't possible even under the worst possible conditions, it must be a bug.
At rules it's said. with bad wheter there are less tickets sold, but you can roof your stadium to increase tickets selling.

An Austrian manager (not me) reported in the national forum that one of his players (24yo) had a skilldown from very good to solid defender this week...
I think it's not possible. It happens from 28 and older... If it's true is a bug.

edited: this is not valid to stamina ;)

As written in the Austrian forum, that's not possible.

Well, I think in Spanish forum there was one time when it happened something with skilldowns on a player who was younger than 28, but I remember it was checked by an administrator (I think Arnau was the adm. who done it). But I don't remember what happened next. Maybe it's a little little bug, but I think it's not possible.

Hmm ... an admin can't see whether players had skilldowns or not, guess only greg can see that.

However, if a player aged 24 has a down in a skill except stamina it has to be either a bug or - what is more likely - the manager mistook something ;-)

I don't remeber, it happened few years ago.

can someone explain me the new promotion sistem in junior leagues?

Here is a quote from the news:

League System

A new junior team always joins the lowest division in the country, irrespective of the division the senior club is playing in. Junior league levels is exactly the same number as the number of senior leagues. The junior divisions are not divided into 8 team leagues - all teams from each junior division level compete in same league (so same league table). Every week the rounds are generated randomly. The league table is divided in half, top half teams play each other, lower half league teams also play each other. In the lower league there is a potential where there is an odd number of teams, so the same team may not get a match in the next round. This is counted and therefore if you find your team with a free week you will definitely have a game the following week. Junior league matches do not affect your team ranking, however, it does affect supporters mood, but several times less than a friendly senior match. You can also expect a lot less supporters turning up to the games in comparison to your senior matches.

Promotion And Relegation

Each junior season has 14 rounds, just like the senior teams season. After all the rounds are played the top junior teams automatically qualify to higher league. The maximum size of each junior division is the equivalent of the senior division. The number of teams promoted from and relegated to a lower division is always 50% of the maximum size of the division. However if the division is not filled, the number of teams relegated would be as small as possible
For example, if there are 32 teams in IInd league, 16 team are relegated and 16 can be promoted from lower division. But if in the IInd league there are only 20 teams, so 4 teams are relegated and 16 teams are promoted from IIIrd (4 teams in place of relegated teams and 12 teams on free places).

Obviously now we're all playing in the same leauge (in croatia is the 4th league). but how many teams do promote?

let's take Hrvatska as an example, senior leagues:

1 - 1 league
2 - 4 leagues
3 - 16 leagues
4 - 64 leagues

from the news: Junior league levels is exactly the same number as the number of senior leagues.

does that mean that we will just have 4 league levels or that there will be also the same numbers of teams in every level of leagues, in this case:

I - 8 teams
II - 4x8 =32 teams
III - 16x8 =128 teams
IV - 64x8 = 512 teams

since we're now all in 4th league, does that mean that now wil be promoted (I+II +III) 168 teams??

p.s. there are currently 192 teams registered in hrvatska 4th league. don't know how much that numbers influence the number of promoted teams. haven't seen anything in the news

III - 16x8 =128 teams / 2 = 64 teams will promote

you can also see it in the league tables, the first 64 are marked in green
2010-03-28 11:29:37
i don't see it... maybe cause of osokker or something
2010-03-28 11:33:20
how will then next season fill the league if a part of those clubs will go to the second league?

from 64 teams 16 will promote I guess to IInd league. Just less teams will relegate to 4th?
2010-03-28 11:35:48
without oSokker I see all 64 green, with oSokker it's alternating green and grey, but still visible for me

next season 16 will promote from III to II, 64 will promote from IV to III, and noone will relegate. First relegations can take place the season after, because the upper league is only half filled.

so in two seasons the III league will have 64 - 16 + 64 = 112 teams ??
2010-03-28 12:39:36
yes

and from 112 teams 48 will be the first who relegate back to IV - if nobody quits the league because of WOs or resignation
