if u had a divine defender, formidable pace, and crap at everything else, where would u put him to get a decent performance? should he just sit at the back all game long breaking the offside even?

depends on the pace of the opposition... if they have fast strikers (incredible/brilliant pace compared to your formiddable), then your defensive line will need to be back maybe 2 boxes or more on the grid from the line, and use defensive mids who get drawn to the ball to make tackle (otherwise defender will leave position and take long time to recover)

if they have slow attackers, then you can play high line sure..
but thats my opinion..others will vary im sure.. thing is he is a good tackler, so will win ball, but if he cannot run back to get a through ball fast enough, then he wont be of any use.. :)

When it comes to defenders without technique or pace, I'd say the further you put them in the back the better. It takes ages for them to control a ball, so putting them near opposing strikers is dangerous.

Never make the back line consist of just one player though, as you said that breaks the offside, it's suicide. I'd put at least one extra player next to him.

Ideas realisation thread

thats the closest i can come to your question with an answer.. but generally there isnt a timetable.. stuff just happens randomly..
when they are implemented in sokker is usually before the start of a new season...
each offseason for the past 3 seasons we have got a nice new feature :)
i hope that can continue!

Where can I complain and come with ideas to improve the game? I'm a complete newbie and I have alot of ideas on how to make this game less hard to learn, 'cuz I'm about to give up already.

P.S. Plz send me a mail where 'cuz I'll probably never find this thread again.

Who invented the tactic 2x2 ?
2010-05-22 02:23:55
well this guy keeps getting thirty something scores, though i've been told scores dont matter at all, perhaps they're a good indicator, and i'm guessing the reason he fails so badly is cuz of his stamina, right?

that can be solved somewhat by subbing him at half time, so how do i compensate for his average technique, weak playmaking and poor passing?

if anyones interested in seeing him play, he's called mehmet bombach

thanks for feedback, i know shit about tactics lol

defenders will always get low ratings... its hard to get them high.. seems that their ratings are based on PM,passing and technique as much as defender and pace skills..
but whatever you consider priority is what you should focus on...
how you compensate for those low skills is by training them..improving them, and playing them in correct positions
how you compensate for a 8x tragic player.. you cant! every team has weaknesses.. this guys is his passing,pm and tech.
this guy is outstanding pace, divine defender - use him to tackle oppositoin players, he will probably kick the ball out of play if he is wing back though, so central is best
excellent form

with excellent form hes maybe 20-25% less skilled than normal.. and then with low stamina this also deteriorates over time...so he could be only at 50% of his normal skills at the end of a game...
consider all players change in form also.. value is a much better indicator than rating IMO.. hes still a great player.. dont always judge by the games ratings.. look at his performances on the pitch
22 years old, train his skills up theres still lots of time :)
but IMO, form is a massive factor...you will see a big difference in players depending on it

bugs ideas forum

its main purpose is for people to vent feelings, though the programmers sometimes go there during the summer months to see whats written, so maybe now is a good time to make suggestions alright :)

How can I set an order to replace an striker that got injuried with a mid that is in play when that happened? Obviously by default the striker with be replaced with the first player in bench.

What I want is that a mid who is in play take the striker position as soon as the striker is injuried so I can set a player who is actually a mid with striker orders in the bench if that happens. Did I make myself clear?

Did I make myself clear?

yes, but I don't know a way how it could work. You need a switch-order "if player has been substituted", but it doesn't exist.

No combination of orders? I wonder if devs will fix this some day it is a necessary some times...

where is there (at sokker inter.) topic about club news ? I did not find any one...
2010-05-23 21:57:02
I suppose it's pretty impossible for a player to have solid stamina at 21yo and adequate stamina at 23?

No, if the coach traning has awful in stamina, then skills are liable to drop. Really considering changing my coach :)
