if one player gets excellent keeper, excellent striker adequate stamina, and all others useless, well thats just unlucky :)
they have skill points randomly distributed.

with the recent change to juniors, when they join the school they have X skills. then each skill is trained equally after that point.

Your junior players

You can only play with players from your junior school in the junior match. Within the junior school you can now see the preferred position of a player (outfield or goalkeeper), age and total skill of each junior, but you don't see individual skills as they remain hidden. The distribution of individual skills is set for each junior when he comes to your junior team; each individual skill grows with the overall skill when your junior trains each week.
If you want to know the skills distribution before the junior is promoted, you will have to play him in junior matches, and verify his aptitude on various positions.

EDIT again: its in the rules change on news section also somewhere if you scroll back. that post by rtg is basically a copy n paste of it though, and it was confirmed at that time.

It means that a tragic junior will be well rounded after 30 weeks and I doubt if that will be the case.
The end result seems really weird, how about a player who comes with very good in one skills will he just stop leveling in that skills once it gets to excellent.

My player will be striker, I just need 30 points excelent pace, excelent technique and excelent striker, more I dont need :)

Yes, they get training! :-)
But if you wanted to make any substitution the player originally on the bench won't get training.
