are you sure I should sell all my old players?
Because right now I've played 2 games and I won none.So if I get rid of all my best players it's gona be even harder to win any game.

Yes I'm sure :) Compair your old players to these young players on the transferlist and you will see they won't be that less better. As long as you make sure you buy the right players back it won't hurt that hard and with a couple of weeks training these young players will be as good or better as many of your old players. Also young trained players can be sold, old players with to low skills won't be sold so no extra money in the future :)
Keep n eye on the players of the transferlist DEF/MID (don't mind stamina/keeper(/striker)), learn the prices and buy as cheap as possible. Check the beginnersguide for the important skills for each position.

EDIT: if your not completely sure of an older player, you can keep 1 or 2, but most won't be good enough :)

kaizersozi yes he is right, my way to start was also to buy so i had 22 young players to train pace on, its good for finding the best talented. Every player has a hidden talent, that determines how fast he develops, the younger the faster also. And acquire yourself sokkerviewer or sokker organizer and update that once a week to keep track of the development... :)

And if you lower the skills a bit, you have some more choises, transferlist DEF/MID (don't mind stamina/keeper(/striker)), but this way you have to watch out a bit more you don't buy players with to low skills.

you can keep the older player you have in the non-training area. for example if you training defender, you can have older stikers and mids. just ensure that the defender you but in to your club are young, and see if they have any talent.

my advice what i wish i did 5 months ago when i started.

get loads of cheap players with high pace or defender skill. and quite low skills in the other areas (17-19 years). these players quite often go for 30k-40k (high skills such as very good-formidable) with all the other skills quite low (if stamia is high good bonus). then train the oppersite skill for the defender and if they have talent, you could make about 50k-100k per trainable player in the first 2 season. what is alot of money. but when you have time, always look for bargins. as i have made alot of cash in doing this, and im always asking questions, as an english manager will tell you.

If he choose to train other then pace yes.... me and charles hills advice was exactly to train pace to quick find a bunch of talented players to train on for no money and skipping all the non talented.. :)
2011-03-24 23:45:52
when i started i decided to train pace, but the starting funds don't let you buy 22 players that are 'worth' training. so i ended up training about 12-14 players. but then i found this was slow, and i wasn't making much money, if any. i only started to make profits when i went away from pace and trained a specidic area. (i think this was because all the worth while cheap trainable players that need pace went for more than they sould because 'everyone' trains it. while now i train tec, i seem to get alot better quality of player for my money, and now im more competitve in my league. (got promoted first try with non pace tranies)

just saying i started 5-6 months ago and i feel like the first 2 months training pace, apart from finding 3 people that i still have now, was wasted. (in my opinion)

Charles Hill naar kaizersozi
Your welcome. And remember 1 thing, in Sokker there isn't 1 best way but a lot of good ways :)

My advise to new managers is probably way more drastic as Vilpu's :P

And yours is another advise that will also work.

Thanks for the software and all the advices

I realised that selling all my old players is a good idea, some are crap and still take huge wages. And those that are good enough won't make any progress.I will also scout the transfert market.

Your welcome :)

Oh, and 1 more thing about the helpprograms, Apollo has a very easy line-up option in 'Squad', very helpfull in the beginning.
2011-03-25 14:19:57
but i would still recommend sokker viewer, as it has week numbers on the program so that it is possible to see if the program has been updated regularly and therefore buyers trust it more.

I use Sokker Organizer and sometimes Apollo to check some things. So he can use 2 if he likes :) But Apollo is the easiest to start with I think because of the 'Squad' option. I don't know how Sokkerviewer is as I don't use that 1.
