what influences the speed of the player, independent of other things like form. Is it the height of the player or the BMI?
2013-06-25 20:12:15
both

Taller players are slower at start, fat and thin players too, fat players are tired sooner too.

they have the effects of BMI introduced so?
2013-06-25 22:06:03
I think BMI is the only feature effecting accelaration/fatigue

And yes it should be implemented

Can I ask, if a player plays an U21 match as a mid do you have to play him as a mid in the league or friendly match to benefit from the extra training?
2013-06-25 22:27:50
Of course !!
2013-06-25 22:37:26
ok thanks for the confirmation. I was starting to doubt myself like a noob.

^^

you still get additional general training even if they played different orders. barely noticeable, but every little helps.

wybo is right. smaller players accelerate faster - so reach top speed faster. but it does not affect top speed (players with same speed will run the same speed, but smaller one will get to top speed faster, so reach ball first)
taller = win headers more (not always)
also for keepers they can reach more (not sure if implemented)

bmi influence i would like an admin to confirm if implemented.
but you are right it was confirmed it would effect those things when activated

BMI is implemented according to greg.

and please can you confirm if BMI (we mean height and weight) is already used in ME ?

yes, it is

2013-06-26 09:35:31
it is implemented, but they still haven't implement the bmi change due to playing in games...so fat players are always fat and you can't change it :/

I can only refer to this quote from sokker news:

If a player is too light, they will speed up slower, as they have a lower muscle mass. In addition a player with a high weight will speed up slower, as they are too heavy. Heavy players will tire more quickly, compared to lighter players. The weight of a player will change depending on training, matches played and injury, although this has not been implemented yet.

Weight is calculated using Body Mass Index (BMI), which takes weight and height into consideration, where;
BMI = weight / (height*height)

As I understand this statement BMI is the deciding factor here, I doubt weight, height and BMI is somehow calculated separately for accelaration/fatigue..BMI should be the only factor imho..

I think what matters is height and BMI, weight is just a factor for calculating the BMI.

Height = basic ability

BMI = physical form of player which affects the basic ability [height]

Yes but the height add on was made before that, and they haven´t said anything about changing that, just another addon to it, as i read the news.... also, it is realistic that both factors is in play... RL a player with perfect BMI 190 height and a player perfect BMI 160 height, the taller one is usually a lot slower in acceleration even if they have same top speed....

sounds logical and realistic..but that doesnt mean it is implemented this way..

this statement makes me think they put the whole thing into one feature as they didnt want to complicate it unnecceseraly.

..which takes weight and height into consideration..

but thats just my opinion based on that quote..I'm not aware of any confirmation about this subject..
