Take a headcoach with unearthly on the trained skill and at least 3 assistants.

He is a bought player for 1,3 mill $ so hopefully he will deliver. I have a trainer with unearthly technique, but no assistents, because of financial reasons.

Am I in any way close or ?

Assistants don't have to be expensive, and to have some is always better as non at all.

When you have more money to spend after 1 or 2 seasons, fire the weakest assistant(s) and replace these with 1 or 2 levels higher assistants.

lol, you put all money in one player despite you dont have good coaches :D

I didn't thought that assistens made such a big difference if i have to be honest. In the danish forum many people have questioned the importance of assistans. My coach on the other hand is really good.

Would be handy if I could read Dutch :p

There is no minimum, only maximum number of players on positions.

i have often questioned if assistants help also.
they definitely do affect general training.
so if you have no assistants i would only be training defenders. maybe strikers at a push.
at 16 with my coaches i would get 1 pop in every skill per season for a player. and training as others said, 2-3 week pops for a while if he is talented.

investing in one player is not wise. i would have suggested sign 3x good/solid assistants. head coach unearthly in skills you require or close to.
then spend rest of money 50% on trainees for first team. 30% for friendly game, 20% on players required to get you promoted. train for 2-4 seasons and sell.
16 is young to buy. its easy get very cheap 18,19yr old players who can make U21 for small countries and be worth much money in 2-3 seasons

Thanks for the good ideas. I have to other training objects which i have required for much less, so it isn't all depending on the one player. I know it's a bid risky and normally its a good idea to spread your investment, but i am pretty sure that if he turns out to have a bad talent that i can sell him again with a minimum loss.

My trainer is uneartly. I will do as you say and hire a couple of assistants. I have choosen not to invest in my first team because there is no chance of promotion in the future 2 seasons, so i'll rather spend my money on talents. There salary is much more cheep and wether I will come 2end or 4th does not matter to me.

Another quick fire question if a not has a player banned and no subs does that mean I play against 10 men?

See Rules, chapter 11

Each position has a maximum number of players that may be assigned to it. These are: 1 for GK, 5 for DEF, 5 for MID and 3 for ATT. If you play more than the maximum allowed for an area (for example 6 DEF) or do not set a lineup you will lose training unless you switch to stamina.

And yes indeed, then you will play against 10 players.

I made a typo on the last one it meant to say if I play a bot team, but I figure you knew what I meant.
