A player plays as a MID on Thursday in Champions cup, then plays as ATT on Friday for U21's. However the U21 match is a walkover for the opposite team due to not enough players being selected.

For training purposes for the week is this player deemed to have played as a MID or an ATT?

from rules:

If a player played in two different positions during the week, the last match counts.

So it seems.

But I thought that if a match was defaulted the team who defaults receives no training so therefore this player would train as a MID. But hey ho, you live & learn.

from rules again:

If any of the teams assigns less than 10 players or deletes the tactics set for the match, the opposition team will automatically win the game. The footballers set as starters in the match from the winning team will train the same way as if the match had been held without substitutions.

What does it say about players from the losing team? Can you quote me that from the rules?
2015-10-15 23:18:42
no training
EDIT: thats not from rules just what happens.
i dont know what happens if they played 1 game already though

They lose the training from that w.o. game, but they get trained if they play other matches in that week.

how important is teh and pass for def players? and what about play?
2015-10-23 22:23:49
Very important, below level 5-6 will cause lots of problems, 7-9 is sufficient on many levels of performance, on top level 11+ is needed.... tech for instance determines whether they can control a ball that hits them first, or whether they get succesful tackled by the attacker..... play determines how fast (so they avoid tackling) they hit the ball forward and where to..... pass determines if their pass attempt succeed...... there are also other aspects.... you can read more about what each skill does in rules and then apply it to situations when you watch the matches, i would say, the only skills that are not used by all positions, are GK and Striking..... all other skills are useful in a big or less role all places on field...
