It seems he receives 2 separate injuries in a row. That might explain the length of the full injury. Very harsh, but I don't think we need to worry this will happen more often.

If you look carefully you can see Martin Taylor near that player aiming for the ankle
if u look carefully u can see someone actually ate his leg out... well at least that s what i see :P
the best part is that noone got a cadr XD not even a yellow card ... matterazi must have been the reffery :P
I would like to see once on a sokker match a player getting a card for simulating :))
