Sorry for bumping an old thread... but might the players owner have a case for asking the second injury be removed?
A player picking up a long injury then getting hit with another long injury before he can be removed from play seems like an unintended game mechanic. 65 days might also be beyond the max injury time the devs wanted in game.

if you play someone hurt expect it to be incremental. in this case the injury just happened in the same game.

well it´s quite logical, it´s one long injury which consist of two injuries
maximal lenght of one injury is about 36days, don´t know exactly, so if player get two maximal injuries in a row .. he can be injuried for more than 70days and teoretically is possible to get even more than 2injuries in match if he had no time to leave the pitch

My point was if a player picks up an injury longer than 7 days he goes off at the next opportunity. I doubt it was envisaged that a player might pick up a second serious injury while waiting to leave the pitch, or that the devs wanted players laid off for over 2 months.
I'm not talking about hurt players a manager may choose to field or hurt players who continue playing. Just this freak case of a player picking up 2 long injuries at once.

What about the freak accident where a whole backline got red-carded (link someone? =]) Should that have got reversed too?
I don't see how any amount of red cards in a game can be compared with this incident. I wasnt suggesting action based on it being extremely rare, rather asking was such a thing supposed to happen in the first place.
If you think of it in terms of realism i think it is very realistic.
