At this moment, Brasil, Paraguay, Chile and Argentina are qualifying.

Nah, we were playing poorly before he was appointed - actually, that was the reason why the former coach was fired to begin with.
We started the qulfiers OK, but then our performace decreased steadily, and after a cup of lousy matches Basile was fired. We just haven't improved since then.

He was a very good player, but as NT Coach... no comments

why is Chile performing so well? What players do they have that (can) make a difference, or is it a team effort? :)

Chile right now has been "blessed" with Bielsa. Also Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador have been performing below their level.

But, as i said, his bless is going to turn into a curse later.

I don't like him as a coach, but we can't blame him for the poor performances of Argentina. I see the same team, in tactics, names and team spirit.

Maybe we can blame him for not changing anything, but with Basile we were playing as awful as we are playing right now.
