In a situation like Irish one I would kill the referee right there, ****in ***hole

Of course not all the French people have to shame...
Surely one of their player from today has a dirtier conscience

a very dirty conscience

Whatever about the ref, the lines man should have seen it. This is just the latest in the series of travesties that could have been avoided by video technology. All you need is a guy sitting by a screen to say "Hand ball, free out". There's no rational arguement against it.

France cannot be out of the WC. There are to many interests involved and the referee knew that. No surprise of his decision, but what about the line referee, what was he doing? Eatin` a kebab maybe. Poor qualification!

Agree with you, the linesman should have seen the offside AND the hand ball ...

I mean the players have nothing to be ashamed of, or Fabio Grosso should be ashamed for diving against Australia in 2006, the ref is teh 1 to blame, not Henry.

Yes, of course

video playback would kill football, the game would be even more slower than it is now. personally i wouldnt watch it much then, gets too boring, maybe some important games only.

i mean, imagine Greece-Italy and videoreplays, that would be one awesome match, right?:d
2009-11-18 23:46:42
If Henry doesn't cheat then there's nothing for the ref to see...
2009-11-18 23:46:46
oh, please... that wasn't a dive!
2009-11-18 23:46:49
could you tell me one player who had made a handball and then go to tell the referee about it ??

i'm not proud of this game because i saw Irish players wanting more this qualification than the french ones ...

but if you're saying that Henry should have told the referee about his hand then i don't understand you ...

Yes, specially the off-side, I think. Henry was too close to the goal line (ant the goal itself) for the reff to have a clear line of sight, even the linesman could have been blocked (since he was at the other side of the goal). Seeing it or not was a matter of lick (a different thing is, if he got to see it, whether to call it or not anyway :P). The off-side, however, should be easier for the linesman to flag.

Yea, the linesmen are there to help, but ultimately the decisions are taken by the ref, plus I don't know if the line man on that side of the field is in a good position to see that hand, probably Given and Gallas were blocking his view.
