ref gave goal and i said nah mate , it was wide . he gave a goal kick - i still got my hattrick and my team still won

shame it dont happen with the pros

there's a difference between a game at the level that you played, and the goal that can give you WC participation, probably the last one you can get...

Its late here and my bedtime, but one last word....which you stated perfectly yourself. Hurst never purposely cheated whereas Henry and Mr Maradona did. ;)

PS I had bad knees too thats why I gave up mainly, plus the fact that my son plays for a decent club now.

the action is very quick, the ball came to Henry, but it bounce to henry's left hand, it's very quick, nobody can predict the trajectory of the ball, Henry received the ball on his hand but it's not on purpose, the action it's very quick, Henry can't control the ball, the ball touch him.
We see his hand with the video, but in real, the action is very quick, he hasn't cheat. The goal is valid.

And Tulio, and Grosso, and many others(not only Maradona ;) Diego's hand was so beautiful you cannot see it on video, hes curly hair covered the hand, I only see it on picture where you can see how he punches it :P), I'm not like you all criticizing Henry, but if I take your position, that puritane position, what England and Hurts did is the same, the cheat is to not tell the ref he is mistaken, differences aside(cause of the seriuosness of 1 thing and the other) it's like rolling over someone with your car or killing someone accidentally hide it and not confessing, the bad thing isn't having or not having the intention, but not confessing.

It wasn't 500 years but 43. And he didn't score the ref said he scored. ;)

Bottom line if the ref calls the goal it counts, France qualified and Ireland it's outside the WC, that's it.
