Mati Fernandez is Argentinean and he is playing for Chile. That is cheating and Chile should be disqualified.
;)

bullshit, it´s not a valoric discussion, it´s a discussion about a clear cheat in a important match vs Ireland.
anyway, principal error was of referee and lineman, Henry only completed his work.

It is a valoric discussion, is how high you want to set the bar, for some is higher than others.
A complete machiavellic approach would be winning at all costs, even if it is killing the rivals. A complete puritane approach would be actually 22 players drinking a cup of tea and talking about english manners.
Real soccer is something in the middle. Each one of us knows we his own bar would be, for some higher, for some lower.
FIFA sets the bar in a place where still there is chance of imperfections, and for now is not willing to change it. It is not about making the game more fair, it is about what FIFA thinks that it makes the game more attractive. And I have to say that I am more on the side of the FIFA rather on the side of the puritans.

FIFA criteria sucks, about this and many others things
in Rugby video ref is only in very punctual plays, and i didnt see the 2 teams drinking a green tea and talking about criket...

your argument about "the puritans", is out of focus.
one thing is imperfections (typical in a sport), other thing is a cheat that affect all the match (and serie).
FIFA accepted imperfections, but the cheats... now is too late for modified a result, or play other match, clearly, Ireland is out of next WC.
I don´t want than 22 players drinking a cup of tea, neither than a "anything goes", I´m with you, a perfect level is middle.
in any case, this middle shouldn´t have cheats (impossible), but should be "the most clear" in fairplay; It´s impossible stop all cheats, but it´s possible stop the most volume of this cheats in game.
ergo, we are humans, a error any can commit, but the football essense is the competitiveness and win with all possible methods without cheats, this cheat distorted the real result in this match.
anyway, now is too late, and as we say in spanish "no hay que llorar en la leche derramada"

Sorry Juan you are simply dillusional, Hurst Vs Henry / Maradona is never the same......not in a gazzillion years. Henry's hand clearly moves with the ball to control it, Maradona's hand is cleary seen punching the ball.
England won 4-2 not 2-1 in extra time due to that goal to which you infer. Hurst shot and thought he had scored, he did not punch the flaming ball. I hate cheats in football personally, the same as I hate the constant foul mouthedness of players on the TV which I think both give bad examples to children. Rugby has sportmanship conrrectly where the ref is God, only captains can speak to them, plus they use the Video Replays to ensure decisions are made correctly.
Plus no need for murders as you state. Just replay the game imo at a neutral ground, and bring in TV replays for the harder decisions. It won't happen though, not now Platini is involved so much.

Tango is not in discussion.. and it´s from Argentina
In the video replay, you can see another french player falling, the action is very quick. In real time it's too fast to see player falling, and the ball is too quick to control it. You can try to control yourself the ball at this speed too, you cannot do it.
The irish defender takes the arm of the other french player, and make him fall down, the referee should give an penalty to french for the shame action. this is also a cheating. The result was the same penalty or Gallas 's goal. France will goal too.

There is one thing that makes me laughing... Some of writers told that Henry was a cheater... Well, i totally agree with that... But Many of thme told also that he did not respect the rules of Fair-Play as said the Prime Minister of Ireland... Well, that's true too... But i'm totally sure too that if there was not goal of Gallas, and if Irish players scored just after they did not want to replay the match for Henry's cheating or breaking the FP rules, did they ? :-D
Moreover, i saw 4 times Kean using his arm trying to control the air ball given by his own team... And what did he do just after the referee gave a fault against him ? He disagreed his decision each time !! Wel, i'm surprised that it is not consider as cheating too here :-D
Other examples, many fouls were committed when they were corners... With the zoom of the video, i saw an irish defender pulling the back of Gallas who wanting to make a head to score... Strangely, this irish guy used the fair-play rules whereas Henry did not :-)... I did not see this irish guy coming to see the referee and tell he made a foul that provoke a penalty to the french team... :-D
That's really strange how some people used their vision as objectivity regarding to what done their own team in this match...
I repaet but i totally agree with the fact that Henry is a cheater but if we really see his matchs, we see that he is cheating often, the thing that irritates me is that on the field, there are many other cheaters, both french and irish guys, and surprinsly, we did not talk about that when giving that Henry broke the fair-play rules.
