Subject: lost
true true, it was his weakness, too confident for people who didnt deserved it
In Europe there are some countries that make dubbing for everything (like germany or france) and others that also in cinemas and tv have movies in original language with (often optional) subtitles (like Nederland or scandinavia). I think both things are ok, if you are used to them.
I only watch original versions of english cinema and series but my english is also good enough to understand almost everything even without subtitles. If I would not understand it, I also would not watch it in english. I also watch spanish movies in spanish, but then I need the subtitles. ;)
Last episode of LOST was quite bad, so I hope this one will be a lot better....

Yea I can watch mots things without subtitles(1 or 2 things might pass if there said too quick or with an accent like scottish, irish or australian :P), but I rather have the subs, although it's a nice way to learn new words. ;)

I need subtitles, when Spain was under Franco's dictature all movies and other stuff must be translated and after that people were used to see it translated, so in most cinemas and TV channels you have the content traslated ://
Thats why our english is mostly awful.
Last episode was really bad, but with [SPOILER!!]Claire's appearance the next episode promise to be much better[/SPOILER]

I agree. 6x4 was quite a step upwards and there were some answers and some new questions too of course.
My question is
Why wasn't Kate one of the numbers? Either MIB is lying and wrote that stuff himself or Kate is gonna die.

If they were only men you'd assume MIB would know that. By the way, the number of candidates go up to 700+, all of which are supposed to have met Jacob.
It seems to me that MIB isn't allowed to kill any candidate either unless they're judged to be unsuitable, which could be bad news for Miles seeing as he's already crossed out.

hmm... list of names on the wall (Episode 4 spoiler)
here
very interesting.. yes I agree, he cannot kill anyone that isn't crossed out on the wall, but he can make people to kill each other or kill themselves (Shannon is on the list and was killed with the strange "voices" that lead for her to be shot, Locke killed by Ben, Charlie killed/sacrificed himself etc). Or maybe everone on the list cannot be killed at all until he is crossed out (then Locke wouldn't be all dead - hmm)? I remember Jack trying to kill himself and failing, also Locke did not die when he fell out of that building (both not on the island), or that miraculous/impossible "revival" of Charlie and now Jarah has been revived. Would be an explanation for Jarah coming back to life.
For me one questions remains: what makes someone suitable to be on the list and what does not (I will now go back and watch again what Jakob exactly did with all the candidates). Miles is crossed out but alive, both Littletons are also alive and crossed out (because of the virus?).
But yea, like I said it goes strongly into the direction that there will be that fight light against dark with Losties on both sides.

I think it's possible to be candidates for both sides, remember smokey is deseperately wanting to leave the island(whatever it means), I think he needs some1 to take his place for him to be able to leave. He is clearly tricking Sawyer when he says that Jacob's defence of the island is purposeless, cause there is nothing to protect and to protect it from.
Spoilers for anyone who didn't see last nights episode. Stop reading here
Claire is crazy. Even Jin who served in the military is scared of her. Poor Other bloke, not a nice way to die.
In other news, there's a magical lighthouse on the island that somehow no-one has managed to see, y'know despite it being a frigging lighthouse which is designed to be seen.
Those at the temple are, according to Jacob, screwed. You can expect another Smokey massacre coming very soon. Hopefully Miles and Sayid will escape.
And lastly, Kate is one of the numbers and she's not crossed out. Interesting and it leads me to believe that the cave numbers were written by Smokey and not Jacob.

Hmm but the other numbers do match in cave and lighthouse, so it is one or the other. The irritating thing about this episode:
- The person names (like "Shepard") on the wheel in the lighthouse were written with "fresher" ink than the other names. At least it did seem to me that way. Same ink as on hurleys arm? Where did he get the ink/pencil from anyway? Does leave a biiig question mark for me. Rest is what was expected from me a page back. Both sides try to recruit their guys to stand and fight for them.
So far:
Smokey (I will call him that although I do not agree that this guy is the smokemonster, he just is able to use it): Sawyer, Claire, tries to recruit Jin and probably Sayid
Jacob: Richard and trying to recruit Jack and Hurley.
