Next week just got even more awesome with the return of Non-Smokey, Non-John, Man In Black.
Gahhh have to get home from uni before I can watch it.... am looking SO much forward to it :-D
Hmm.. that brought quite a bit of light into the dark, didn't it? Really a good episode. It is way more fun to see stories of people where we don't know everything already.
Just the part with the ship and the statue was a bit... unplausible. But anyway, it is just a tv-series and at least that is answered as well.. :D

the bottle of wine was epic :)
esp the end where he smashed it

I don't think we've seen the last of the Black Rock era. At the end of the episode MIB says "You'll see me sooner than you think" which meant he had something lined up soon after. If I was to guess I'd say he'll try to kill Jacob again, leading to MIB being trapped in the cabin for the next 180 years.
Great episode! Considering that Ricardus has been on the Island for such a long time, "his" episode could have been twice as long... but that would have given away too much :-)
He still had an era with a young Widmore, which we need to explore more. Will probably come up very soon.

Yes, there are still some answers left there.
- How and why did Jacob manage to "steal" MIBs body and humanity?
- If MIBs body was already stolen, he is already trapped and all then maybe that body of MIB is not him already. Then we can look forwards to how Jacob manage to let MIB lose the body he posesses (so same as with Locke has to be done now - the thing with the dagger seems a bit too silly for my taste)
- For candidacy: Jacob said "and when they get here, their past doesn't matter", so candidacy seems to be gained and lost by acts on the island, still the question remains, what makes one still be a candidate
- Is replacement of Jacob really his first goal? I am not sure. He said in this episode something that I was thinking for a while now. Jakob seems to want to proof that humans are not corrupted and not bad in nature. Maybe this is his first goal to "win the game".
Well anyway, I really enjoy the final season. Now we just have to wait for Desmond :D

well what power does jacob have/did he have, to keep him on the island...
maybe because he stole his body, he cannot go "out" with the donkeywheel? :D Yea, good question of course.
I watched the last part now is was really impressive part
Someone who knows you also say
many will be part of last season

I'm still really suspicious about Jacob, when the slaves(btw I didn't know english trade spaniard slaves, spaniards used to have slaves I didn't know they could be slaves) were comming in the Black Rock and the storm got the boat, Richard/Ricardo/Ricardus asked another slave what did he see, and the other slave answered the devil (referring to the statue).

Would be an easy mistake to make for a Spanish slave with no knowledge of Egyptian mythology.
I'm not convinced that Jacob is entirely good either. He's majorly pissed off Smokey who doesn't actually seem like a bad guy most of the time., just a really damaged, upset and betrayed. I was expecting a bad reaction to when Richard came back to him but he just said "I understand" with a very disappointed look on his face. He actually seems a bit childish at times, when he was speaking to Jacob at the end he's almost petulant.
MIB - I'm going to kill you
Jacob - Probably but someone will replace me
MIB - Well I'll kill them too!
