Would be an easy mistake to make for a Spanish slave with no knowledge of Egyptian mythology.
I'm not convinced that Jacob is entirely good either. He's majorly pissed off Smokey who doesn't actually seem like a bad guy most of the time., just a really damaged, upset and betrayed. I was expecting a bad reaction to when Richard came back to him but he just said "I understand" with a very disappointed look on his face. He actually seems a bit childish at times, when he was speaking to Jacob at the end he's almost petulant.
MIB - I'm going to kill you
Jacob - Probably but someone will replace me
MIB - Well I'll kill them too!

Dude, don't let him fool ya. once he gets off the island he'll kill us all.
What Widmore said to Jin is really important "If that thing got off the island, everything would cease to exist". That'll be the end of the normal timeline then, which then begs the question, how do you destroy the alt timeline?
Well, I don't know. If it would just be the end of that timeline if he escapes then it is quite boring, because then it does not matter what he does as long as the alt. timeline still goes on.
So maybe correct but would be lame :D
But it is acceptable if he then would bring destruction over the earth and the apocalypse, but of course only after there is some danger for alternative timeline. Because if there is not, then there isn't much of a suspense in it.
The new episode wasn't for me. Ok, was hard to top last episode. I knew there would have to be a sun/jin episode and I knew I would not really like it. But at least the next episode could be better again now that we have Desmond.. at least I hope.

What if something very bad is about to happen in the Alt line? There's no logical reason for Smokey to escape in this timeline if him escaping destroys it, so maybe he's trying to escape into the Alt line.
And the Alt line could only be created once Jacob had died.

which web adress i watch season 5? ( with turkish subtitle) turkish players pls. answer.. thanks.
A thought occurred to me last night, what if there are 2 separate candidate lists? One to replace Jacob and one to replace Smokey.
Of course that is possible.
I don't know if MIB really does "need" a replacement. He needs all candidates to go with him and he said he would need Claire for something (we don't know what yet), but I cannot remember that he would need a replacement as well :)

This is waht i posted on page 17:
Also a thing I predicted happened(posibly) Smokey told Ben that he woud be the best person to be the keeper of the island, so either there are candidates to replace Jacob and Smokey or there only 1 position for the job and candidates of Jacob and candidates of Smokey, and Jacob and Smokey want his(or any of his) candidates to win it.
There's also the chance that Smokey was trying to trick Ben when he told him that, and just planning to use him.

That's possible. It seems very confusing for me anyway.
For example that Ben the others and Richard say they worked for Jakob and answered to Jakob for a long time, while Ben later said that Jakob never spoke to him. In one episode he said that he also used to have dreams. So Ben must have worked for either side through those dreams and visions.
That he is with Richard, that probably never worked for MiB, that he had control of the temple and all shows that it must have been Jakob he worked for.
But it could have been MIB that appeared as his mother when he was young, he also was able to summon Smokie when that army guys shot his daughter. He was responsible for the murder of the dharma people (not really jakobs style) and he did kill Locke thus making the vessel in which MIB can live again on the island directly causing the death of jakob himself and all that is happening now.
Ben just makes no sense to me.

"For example that Ben the others and Richard say they worked for Jakob and answered to Jakob for a long time, while Ben later said that Jakob never spoke to him."
Well the others have never seen or spoken to him, that's established in The Man Behind The Curtain. Richard clearly has met Jacob but we don't know how often and Jacob has also said that he didn't want contact with anyone on the island. Now as for Ben, he admits that Jacob has never spoken to him but that only means that Jacob hasn't communicated verbally, as seen there are other ways.
In one episode he said that he also used to have dreams. So Ben must have worked for either side through those dreams and visions.
Well there's your answer to the question above.
"That he is with Richard, that probably never worked for MiB, that he had control of the temple and all shows that it must have been Jakob he worked for."
It's entirely possible that Richard thinks Jacob has been communicating with Ben, because that's what Ben says but unknowingly, Ben has actually been getting his orders from Smokey for some time, the runway being a prime example. Smokey has deliberatly not spoken directly to Ben because he knew that one day a candidate would come along that would inspire jealousy in Ben. From the moment Locke turned up, Smokey has done everything possible to make him look special so Ben would kill him and Smokey could take his body.
