I am Dan Brown's fan
but his last book, a disappointment for me I did not read the last ten pages

I was reading 100 Years of Solitude but got halfway through it, stopped for a while and then couldn't get back into it because of the complexity with the names and it operating in kind of a time vacuum.
I've bought quite a few books recently, Delta of Venus by Anais Nin (dirty stuff, uncomfortable) Frankenstein, The Myth of Sisyphus by Camus and the one I've just started reading The Great Gatsby.

I recommend you "Cronica de una muerte anunciada" from the same author, for me one fo the top10 books ever written.

Wikipedia has nothing on this book.

This week I finished reading Stephen Kuusisto´s "Planet of the Blind" - took me 48h to read the whole book. Liked it.
I mostly read fantasy.
Yet, I like the James Clavell novels as well. Historical fiction, mostly situated in ancient Japan. And I like Saramago (Blindness, ...) as well.
Most disappointing book: The satanic verses (Salman Rushdie)

At the moment I'm reading some books about the Kamikaze squadrons during 2nd WW. Time well spent :)
I´d love if it would be possible to listen all books from internet or borrow a bookoncd from library. because.. I seriously hate reading books, eyes will get tired, and sitting in a same place for several and several hours is really a serious pain in the ass.. would be nice just to listen it from ipod in gym fe. I don´t think it would seem such a waste of time as it seems for me now...
well reading is awesome and i really enjoy reading, but i must say that i would like to have that option of listening to books sometimes (doing cardio part of gym everyday or while being in the bus or smt like that)

You mean, gym wouldn't seem such a waste of time in that case? :P
Replying to first post:
Reading now: More than human, by Theodore Sturgeon. So far, so good.
Fave book: Foucault's Pendulum, by Umberto Eco. Perfect book for Da Vinci's Code-like readers. I mean, perfecto for those who want to get over it :P

Any book by Conn Iggulden, anyone interested in history should read them all.
