the reason i ask is that i'm considering going to an american high school next year, but would like to hear from someone who have tried it first:P

i'm normally very shy, so i hope that by doing this, i'll be forced to talk to strangers, so hopefully it can help cure my shyness;)

thanks, I'm also looking forward on doing that, I'm south american [yipi] so I'll see. However, some guys have told me not to enter to any competitive teams, because I've got to focus on my university duties, and to keep the schoolarship lol.
But I'll see ^^
But I'll see ^^
i don't really care that much about the "university duties" i mean i'll do my homework and stuff like that, but sport is more important than school to me, and i've always been top of my class anyway;P
I am in Charlotte, North Carolina (University of North Carolina at Charlotte). I am not exactly studying because I am in a research program and I am doing some experimental procedures and all that stuff.
I recommended it a lot, A great experience and a lot of fun.

well, i studied mathematics (wiskunde ;o) and lived in blekerslaan (home for exchange students).
what are you calling campus in groningen? - the zernike complex or the old part in the center?
what ever, i had most of my lectures in zernike, which meant crossing the whole city.
i can further recommend to look for an international student home as well, a lot of people from all over the world, which are all in the same situation. so even shy people (as i'm as well) find contact quite easily.

I don't even know about the exchange student homes in the center, but I meant the one on Zernike (which isn't there anymore by the way). I also have lecture on Zernike, so it's the same for me :-) It's good to hear you had a nice time here!
I also want to go study abroad. I'm looking to study in Spain someday!

Went to Italy(Bologna) as an erasmus student. Loved it.
I went to Sweden (Umeå) and if I had the time I would go again and again.
