oh come on! I am a keeper and i would EXPECT any of my players to do exactly the same thing as the urugyan player did in the last minutes of any competition. Lets face it so would ALL of humanity.

The guy had a chance to score the penalty and blew it - hence the outcry.

The urugyan player did not cheat the Ghana player blew it - simple!

agree - that is the best thing he could do.

He was penalised for that with red card, and Ghana had all in their hands.

whoever calls Suarez handball a cheat, has never been inside a football field.

and with the last two testimonies, I rest my case :D
2010-07-06 17:33:11
I agree!

Suarez was perfectly right!

"The Uruguayan player did not cheat"

The referee and FIFA both disagree.

Oh and the octopus says Spain to win.

garrincha u rule!

he got a red card for what he did. Same way as a player would get a red card for bringing down a player in the box just as they were about to slot it into an empty net.

its not cheating.

Beats Suarez :)

and he got only a yellow card...
2010-07-06 18:24:34
That very fact that he got a red card for it and FIFA want to give him an extra ban means that's exactly what it is. Intentionally breaking the rules in order to gain advantage. It's the fricking definition of cheating.

He does not violate the rules :-)
2010-07-06 18:35:02
Ok, he cheats as well as every player who commits a foul. This kind of cheating is acceptable for me :)
2010-07-06 18:54:43
I don't think you people understand the difference between fouling and cheating. It goes to the intent. I can't be bothered explaining any further to you people. It's like talking to a particularly stupid wall.
2010-07-06 18:57:09
Fouling is the same. The same intention - prevent the opponent from scoring a goal.
2010-07-06 19:00:05
i thought this point was up!! come on this happened already in previous WC´s, its not cheating and we r not stupid walls...u r just jelous, drive your anger through the way of relaxation and take it easy watching uruguay-netherlands way to the final...or get a picture of titi henry and use it as a dart board

don´t worry gato. Nin is a hopeless case, and he already made up his mind on this subject.
I would say it is like trying to convince a stupider wall. ;)

Hopefully, we´ll have the chance to cheat again in today´s game, so we can perform the ultimate cheating in the World Cup Final.
