Hm..I guess that '70-'80 were the golden years when money was not so important. You see, Poland was under Russian reign, there was no democracy up here. It made our economy suffer, we are just about to start the European level of life, but still our wages are lower than in Italy, or Great Britain.
That had some influence on our footie. In '74 etc. it was mainly talent that determined who wins the World Cup :) and luck of course ;). But later on there came better stadiums, football specialists in medicine, in training, in how to train a young[10-12yo] guy. There were researches etc. In Poland there was no money for it. In Spain, Italy, Argentina there is great scouting of very young guys. There are special training centers. Specialist coaches. In Poland it's much worse.
I think that's the main reason. Italians, Spaniards have same talents as we have in Poland, or Srbija has, or every country on the world. The thing that makes the difference is the scouting and training at youngest years. You use the full potential of the players, we don't.

my girl is from poland and i saw many improvment of her town i think poland is growing up better than italy, we are in a dead point for now.... very bad...
But still your dead point is higher than our improving one ;) I've been to Italy and it's really nice. Especially this old climate of people having a coffee in a restaurant before going to work - beautiful, I love those kind of things. :)
We have really bad football association. and it goes with other sports as well...they can't fight hooliganism, can't get families on the stadium, can't make the clubs invest in youth development...

in italy for holidays it's ok ;) for life....... i'm seriously thinking to come in poland....
