american football is just rubbish, all the american people i know hate it, because it is rubbish. it is an attempt to play rugby with helmets and tight lycra pants.

wtf? you English people play cricket and no1 say one word.

American Football is about strategy, there are a lot of people who like it, so, what's your problem?

NFL is awesome. Was really hoping the Cardinals would take it but expected the Steelers to win. Especially disappointed for Fitzgerald, amazing player, watching him just screaming "no, no, no, no" when the Steelers were on their winning drive was just heartbreaking.

the point of mattius is simply that american football is based on rugby, but as lots of american things, it just is made tougher, harder, bigger, ... ;)

I agree, It was so amazing when Fitzgerald scored the touchdown, but then... the defense......... :S

I wanted Cardinals to win as well, for Warner and Fitzgerald, they are the best

I was cheering for the Steelers. I truly admire Fitz and all, but I won't support a team which wins against my favorite team in the conference championship match :P But somehow I felt sorry for them after they came back from behind and then lost the match.
Btw I would give the MVP award to Harrison. I beleive his INT return TD won the match for Pittsburgh, not Holmes and his catches.

I think his actions later in the match made that a bit difficult to sell.

Your havin a larf Langhe?? About 15 years ago an American Football Team (i think it was miami) came to britain to play this gay game called rugby. They then realised that they werent allowed to wear mitchelin man style padding or helmets. The game didnt take place as the American team said "feck that there nutters"
2009-02-03 14:21:41
true, ive played rugby for some time.. some of those guys are really bloody nuts..

i take calculated risks, but some of them would take on a telephone pole if its in their way :D

that is the difference fetween rugby and american football, rugby players are real men who risk their own wellbeing to play, while the eggball players wear all their safety stuff, and cerb, the pole will not survive. ;)

The game is just very different so you can't really say one is better than the other, you can like one better than the other but its just your individual preference.

I like NFL better than rugby as I think they have the better athletes.
