The draw took place in hallways and a room in the Luxor Temple, built about 4000 years ago and was specially decorated to welcome the international and local sports leaders.
The ceremony, in a scenario that played with light and shadow and with occasional flashes, followed by a representation of the Egyptian government led by the Minister of Military Industry, Sayed Meshaal.
While awaiting the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister, Ahmed Nazif, the chief executive apologized and announced that the organizations would be represented by the Minister of Military Industry.
The previous tournament in 2007, took place in Canada and Argentina crowned champion selection, a team that on this occasion to be absent from the stadium Egyptians.
It is the second time that Egypt is hosting a World Cup in 1997 and hosted the under 17 World Cup, won by Brazil. And the third time the championship is being held in juvenile African stadiums, with the precedents of Nigeria (1999) and Tunisia (1977).
The ceremony began with a delay of several minutes over the scheduled time, 20:00 local time.
Besides the official speeches, there was a magician who played with a ping-pong ball and took out a notebook drawing a football.
There was also music of suspense, as he approached the draw, and a music teacher from the Egyptian Omar Khairat, which was responsible for interpreting a medley with oriental rhythms.
And, as silent witnesses, the columns and the statues of Ramses II that adorn the temple.
