Following confirmation today (Wednesday) that Ashley Cole has signed a new four-year contract with Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti has predicted good times ahead for the player.
'I am very happy that Ashley has committed himself to Chelsea,' the manager said.
'He is one of the best left-backs in the world but I believe his best is yet to come. I am very pleased that will happen in a Chelsea shirt.'
Cole becomes the fifth existing squad member to pen a new deal this summer, following on from Florent Malouda, John Mikel Obi, Didier Drogba and John Terry.
