I'm no math expert but I think this doesn't make any sense

Cmon, i made it as easily understandable as possible.

you don't know the value's of abc so that incorrect
2011-06-04 14:19:51
yeah, but its theoretically possible.
2011-06-04 14:21:19
like I said, it doesn't make sense

If a+b=c, than a+b-c is zero, and dividing by zero is impossible.
He doesn't devide by zero

4 * (a + b - c) = 3 * (a + b - c)
4 * 0 = 3 * 0
0 = 0

Not 4 = 3
Lol, what? He definitely divided by zero. Wanna bet?

Lets take random numbers. For example a=2, b=1 and thus c=3

4*2 - 3*2 + 4*1 - 3*1 = 4*3 - 3*3
3=3

4*2 + 4*1 - 4*3 = 3*2 + 3*1 - 3*3
0=0

Thus making the equation 3=4 correct.
Where do you divide by zero?(was meant to Rubinho)
(edited)
Divided by is '/'? Right?
I don't see this in his formula :p
Wanna bet? (Visconte, I'll answer when Nino has answered this :p)
NOPE :p I said i'm no expert at maths
2011-06-04 14:43:28
Show me I'm wrong xD

1) 4 * (a + b - c) = 3 * (a + b - c)

2) 4 = 3

To go from 1) to 2), you divide both sides by (a+b-c). However, you start saying a+b=c. Therefore, (a+b-c) is zero. So you divide both sides by zero.

If you put numbers to abc in there then both sides equal zero, that means 3 equals to 4, doesnt it?

Today is mathspam?

Nice :)
