Hmm I think with religion the main problem is quite the same like with nationality. It is not the religion or nationality itself, it is the feeling of being better than others or being the only correct ones that gives base for war and prejudice.

Problems caused by people.It is about people.It is about being in this form u know? It is about your(our) being. this topic is for all of us that want to learn about our differences and that will hopefully make us better friends and it's not here to make some racist comments.

i hope some more of you, from different religions will make some small presentation of your religions like i did with ortodox and our turkish friend with islam

its only point of view when I think about it how many bad things were made in the name of various religions and I hardly remember any good ones which would have at least similar value

but you forget, how many good thing gave the religions for the humanity.

for example:
the christianity was the first in the middle age, who made social care
and made medical care too
(the other religions i don't know.)



and the religion can give a lot of good think for the people too.
i have a good girlfriend, she is in a small christian community. she is very balanced, and this community is really super. i'm atheist, but i meet with them sometimes, and i enjoy it.

of course that the problem is caused by people, what else could cause such problems ?
I only want to say that many people use/d religion as a power instrument and they did things against original purpose of religions (but in the name of it) and thats what i dont like the most

i just wanted to write about thing that people only see the bad things were made in the name of various religions, and don't see (or don't wanna see) it's goods.

talking about european medieval age, I think that christian church hindered progress the most by its dogmas, restrictions of freedom, crusaders wars etc ..
that is good example of typical abuse of religion
